Executive producers Moira Walley-Beckett, Lawrence Bender and Kevin Kelly Brown are all strongly connected to the world of ballet. Walley-Beckett and Bender are both former ballet dancers, while Brown's family is made up entirely of former ballet dancers and served as the basis for the Oscar-nominated ballet drama The Turning Point (1977).
