Dawson : [unimpressed] It's a 20 year old picture.
Emily Strand : It's Lacey.
Cassy : How is this possible?
Emily Strand : The occult.
Cassy : What's the occult?
Emily Strand : In some parts of the world it's believed that in exchange for allowing a demon into our world, that you can spend time with a loved one who's left it.

Emily Strand : Let's check the downstairs exits next.
Dawson : What about the 4th floor?
Chase : We've never been up there.
Dawson : Well I saw a fire escape, maybe we can climb down.
Cassy : It's worth a shot.
Emily Strand : We don't have the keys for that floor.
Dawson : The bolt looks pretty flimsy on that thing, I think with one good kick it could come off. I can't believe you guys have never been to the 4th floor.
Emily Strand : Well there's no reason for us to be up there. Most of the paranormal activity takes place on the 3rd floor and below.
Dawson : Okay, wait a second. You're trying to tell me that in a haunted hospital, where thousands of people have died, over nearly a century, there's been no activity above the 3rd floor? Do you find that a little odd?

Dawson : These are hospital records, what're they doing down here?
Emily Strand : It's only a fraction of them, 2/3 were destroyed when the hospital closed.
Cassy : Think I get why this place is so active.
Dawson : I don't understand it.
Cassy : Poor record keeping, located in east LA. U know how many John Does came through here?
Dawson : So what if there were a lot of John Does? Why's that matter?
Chase : The John Does were just incinerated, bodies never got a proper burial.

Chase : I've never seen a spirit before.
Emily Strand : That wasn't a spirit, that was something else. I've never seen that before.
Chase : Any ideas or...
Emily Strand : No, not really. I'll have to do some research.

Emily Strand : [calling the spirits] I'm injured, can anyone help me?
Chase : [Dawson shoots him a look] Well one of our strategies is to put ourselves in their world.
Dawson : [mocking] I've fallen and I can't get up!
Chase : *Now* you're getting it.

Emily Strand : Chase, Cassy, this is Dawson, he's with the company that's redeveloping the property.
Chase : Okay that makes sense. When I walked in here today, it felt like death.

Lacey : They don't like you, you know.

Dawson : Nice guys, really, I know you don't like me, but prompting the kid?

Emily Strand : An elemental.
Dawson : What's an elemental?
Emily Strand : A demon.

Dawson : Open the door.
Emily Strand : I didn't lock the door, I don't know how it got locked.
Dawson : Alright, alright, alright, I was gonna wait until later, I might as well tell you now. This building has changed hands, you have one week to vacate.
Emily Strand : One week? That's it? It's gonna take at least 2 weeks just to get the cameras down.
Dawson : Not my problem.
Chase : Man, you're not getting it. We didn't lock the doors.
Cassy : We didn't!
Dawson : Alright then, who did?
Emily Strand : It's an old building, lots of things break.

Emily Strand : Hey guys, check out the second floor. There's a lot of activity today.
Cassy : Yeah, they're pissed at Dwayne here.
Dawson : Dawson.
Chase : [to the screen] Danny here's gonna tear your place down.

Emily Strand : We have to avoid mirrors.
Dawson : Why?
Emily Strand : The demon is using mirrors to move through the building.
Chase : Great, this is a hospital, there's a mirror in every damn room!
Emily Strand : In patient rooms, yes, so we have to avoid those.

Dawson : Is there a window we can jump out of?
Emily Strand : They're all boarded shut, too many vandals. Every window on the first two floors is either boarded shut or has wire nailed over it.
Dawson : What about this floor? I mean the first floor's what, half way underground? I mean the drop from the third's gotta be what, 20 feet?
Emily Strand : I don't know.
Dawson : [yells] What do you mean you don't know?
Emily Strand : I never contemplated jumping out of a third floor window before! I don't know how high they are!
Dawson : Well let's go find out.
[finds a window, looks down]
Dawson : Shit, that's higher than I thought.
Chase : [sarcastic] Do you still want to jump?

Chase : [about the occultist temple] What do we do with all this stuff?
Dawson : We're not touching anything.
[walks away]
Dawson : We're not touching anything.
Chase : Come on, man, it's not like you're gonna be infected by it.
[smashes it]
Emily Strand : Chase, stop!
Chase : What?
Emily Strand : Move now! If a demon is connected to the temple, you just let it know where we're at! We have to go now!

Emily Strand : You guys can't just run like that!
Cassy : I'm sorry!
Chase : I don't know about you, but when I see 15 spirits all running for their lives, I'm getting the hell out of there. And what was that other sound?
Emily Strand : The elemental is eating the orbs.
Cassy : What?

Chase : [a patient folder falls on the floor] Daisy Strand, that's funny, she has the same last name as...
Cassy : It's your sister. This is what you've been looking for.
Chase : [to Emily] I am so sorry. I didn't know you had a sister here.
Emily Strand : The hospital wouldn't give us any paperwork, and it closed right after she passed.

Dawson : I'm not going down there until I know it's clear.
Emily Strand : Wait here then.
Cassy : I'll go with you.
Chase : Good idea, let's split up, that always works for the better.

Dawson : Ow! What the hell?
Cassy : What?
Dawson : Something just bit me!
Chase : Let me see that.
[sees claw marks on the side of Dawson's face]
Chase : Three scratch marks, looks like claws.
Dawson : What? What clawed me, what it?
Chase : The elemental.
Dawson : What? You mean those things can hurt you?
Cassy : He's marked.
Dawson : Marked? What the fuck does that mean?
Chase : Nothing.
Cassy : [under her breath] Oh my God.
Dawson : Don't bullshit me, I saw that look between the two of you, what's it mean?
Cassy : [to Emily] It scratched Dawson!
Chase : It's the mark of the trident, the beast, the devil.
Dawson : Do you people always have to talk in codes?
Cassy : It's marking you! Okay? And now you're a target.
Dawson : Target for what? What's gonna happen to me?
Chase : Worst case scenario, they snatch you from our world into theirs and feed off your soul forever.
Dawson : That's great! Okay, so you're not gonna let them take me, right?
Cassy : [cynically] Oh all of a sudden you believe in this?
