Ishikawa investigates the death of 19 year old Junichi, who took suicide 20 years ago, in 1996. They learn that Junichi was involved with a cult and was planning to kill his father, as he believed him to have murdered his mother.
One year ago Higa and her 6 year old daughter Kana were thrown out a window. Kana dies and Higa survives. As Ishikawa and Takagi investigate they learn Higa had problems with alcohol and may have abused Kana.
