I couldn't make it past episode two. Too much dialogue and a little action. Definitely for young and late teens. As for adults watching this, you'll find it a yarn. Funnily, one review I read from a newspaper described this show as 'viewers are too scared to sleep' they must've meant the under 10s. There's nothing remotely scary about this and it's definitely not meant for adults. Certainly not horror fans either. Having said that, I've got to give credit to the actors especially the young man playing Lockwood, talk about talent and much promise. I can imagine this young man reaching the top in the near future. But unfortunately, for me, this show is a pass.
A fantastic action revenge show that's been missing in the genre for so long. Chris Pratt is at his best and it's a crime in the entertainment industry that he's not nominated for the best actor role for this show. I suppose we all know who they nominate and give awards to and this plot is not supported by Hollywood. Nevertheless, the audiences are all that matters and IMDb has an incredibly high rate for this show. Every actor in this show is believable and great and the story is realistic, sad and very intense. The action sequences are on par with 'Heat', the film, and it's amazing to watch. The so called 'critics' are paid to review and diss shows according to whatever Hollywood supports. It's not fair journalism it's just pure bias. But it doesn't matter because Chris Pratt is officially the new action hero. I guess his father in law, Schwarzenegger, is giving him some pointers.
I was a teenager in 99 and some of the crap portrayed here is so exaggerated and stupid. The "horror" segments are so predicable with no horror elements in them just some silly gore for the sake of blood show. Honestly, of all the choice of directors they can find in the world, these are the segments they chose to include in this year's V/H/S? How is that even possible? To pick only the most stupid predicable rubbish and showcase it, is beyond me. Last year was terrible and this year is even worse. I kept fast forward out of boredom. Please don't waste your time like me, give it a big miss. There are other good horror shows and films that are not as near stupid as this.
