The movie is an action movie but the storyline is quite a bit convoluted, dealing with the idea of repetition of lives and cosmic forces.
The quality of the movie overall is decent, nothing is amazing but nothing is bad either. Few of the actors are quite good, obviously Jon Voight and also Marton Csokas who needs to get more villain roles, he is great in them.
Action scenes are not bad but seem like the type of scenes that I've seen before elsewhere, with the camera near the action moving about and with the action changing from normal speed to slow motion to normal speed. It looks more of a comic book movie type action. It is done competently.
The violence isn't too graphic and there is a modest sex scene where nothing much is revealed.

Aaron Eckhart and Abigail Breslin are the 2 leads and they are good with solid chemistry. Tim Roth has a minor part.
When one watches an action movie the action scenes are important and here they are just not that good, the movie definitely has a bit lower budget compared to recent low budget Eckhart movies, or perhaps they didn't utilize it properly.
The story has some twists and turns it tries to get us emotionally involved and for me it sort of worked but it's not brilliant.
The director or cinematographer or whoever does try to make the movie interesting playing with the lighting in many scenes and there are some cool shots. The action also happens on Malta and it is a beautiful place. But when the highlight of the movie is scenery and lighting and not story and action it's a problem, especially for an action movie. Honestly the movie would have worked better as a drama giving more time to flesh out the characters, instead half the dialogues are to progress the meaningless spy assassin plot.
Overall it's watchable but not as good as recent Eckhart movies.

It's a zombie apocalypse movie. The story is quite good. The story is what makes the movie quite decent, there's a mystery element to it. It's a serious movie, there's no comedic elements, just horror and drama. The runtime is less than 90 minutes so the pacing is good.
Carrie Ann Moss is one of the main characters, Frank Grillo has a minor part he has about 15 minutes toward the end. The acting is good from everybody.
The zombie effects and gore is decent but there's not too much of it. Still I would say it's not suitable for younger audiences. In fact the entire movie is most definitely adults only.
Worth a watch for fans of the genre.
