Ted Lasso is like, when someone hugs you and you burst into tears because you didn't know you needed it, but a show.
I don't get the bad reviews for this show. It's incredible. As a fan of true crime, it ticks all the boxes. The accounts from victims are harrowing, the portrayal of Michelle McNamara's obsession progresses in parallel with revelations about the killer, and the creepy suburban animations they use for the intro and the visual storytelling are haunting.
TBH, it seems like a lot of the negative reviews are from dudes who are mad that Michelle McNamara was a woman. Quit dumping on creative work just because you're mad you're a corpulent, sweaty, waifu-pillow-groping ham planet that women wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

I am rating this for the parents, not the kids, because we're the ones who have to endure this being on in the background.
There are plenty of other shows out there that teach the same lessons without the cringey character voices in the background. Word Party does teach some good lessons ("Let's not fight, it's not right!"), but the downside is an audio assault on your ears that will test your patience.
Skip Word Party and go for Storybots instead. It's an infinitely better show, and way less irritating and repetitive.
