Elevator Sensor Validation & Calibration Guide

The document provides instructions to validate and calibrate a level sensor for an elevator. It involves disconnecting and reconnecting the sensor, setting a variable pointer, and using a meter to check voltage readings with the probe uncovered and covered. The calibration procedure zeroes and spans the sensor by setting the pointer, pressing buttons until indicators light permanently, and returning the pointer to validate. Diagrams show the sensor probe circuitry and connections.

Validation Procedure

1. Disconnect the termination and Remove the level sensor from the elevator. 2. Ensure the Variable setting pointer (A) is on 1 3. Reconnect terminal 1 and 2 and connect your meter to terminal 3 & 2. 4. 5. Probe uncovered the switch indicator led (6) remains lit, voltmeter at 3 & 2 reads 24V DC. Probe covered the switch indicator led (6) goes-off after10s delay; voltmeter at 3 & 2 reads 0V DC.

See fig 2
Calibration Procedure Zero Calibration: 1. Ensure probe is uncovered. 2. Set Variable pointer to 2, press button B until the indicator 1 becomes on permanently. Span Calibration: 1. Ensure probe is covered. 2. Set Variable pointer to 2, press button C until the indicator 5 becomes on permanently. 3. Finally return the pointer to 1 and validate.
