Ad Effect Brief

Branding Pakistan The Digital marketing


The Branding Pakistan theme will focus on how marketers should develop softer image of Pakistan and the role of different stakeholders like Youth Ambassadors, Media, Political Parties and Corporations etc. We want you to show Pakistans characteristic in the advertisement of your products or service to connect with the consumers. With this event, we are marketing knowledge of rebranding a nation and developing a mindset of future generation that will revolutionize the way other countries look at Pakistan. The theme for this year for Ad Effect revolves around the patriotic and we need bright minds like you to come up with some creative and effective ideas for branding real Pakistan in your ads!

Things to remember:
Make an ad that is not necessarily a 14th August type ad but depicts the national pride, culture and people of Pakistan. (Think of Coca Colas current ad campaign, also google india pak ad etc) Show the good side of Pakistan, but that doesnt mean you cant give a convincing message otherwise. Original Jingles are always welcome and good ones will get bonus points. Keep in mind the target audience for the product assigned to you. Important Requirements and Details for both rounds:


1. Teams will come up with an Original tagline (positioning statement). 2. Teams will have to introduce a new marketing campaign and not use the current campaigns for any brand. Think about "what's next and new?" 3. 2 minute presentation about the campaign and the company (can be less than 2 minutes). 4. Time duration of an ad should not be more than 1 minute. 5. Clear picture, clear and understandable sound (voice over) and proper finishing of the ads are highly recommended. 6. Slides for presentation and ads will have to be submitted 1 hour before the ad effect event of first day. Any late entries will not be entertained. 7. The workshop for ad effect will be mandatory for all teams. 8. The marks in 2nd round will be reset for the finalized teams. In case the scores are tied between the two teams, scores from round one will be considered for final decision. 9. Any sort of misconduct within campus or misbehavior with the LMEC management can result in elimination from the competition.
