theory of this model is social cognitive.
Identify topic- Identify the specific topic that youre
going to be talking about.
Specify learning objectives- Identify what you want
your students to learn/understand from the topic.
Structure content- Organize content material on how
you will be teaching it.

in the new course material. If possible tie in
previouse material.

2.
Review and Introduce- Review previous
material and introduce new material.
Presentation- Present new material
3.
Comprehension Monitoring- Try and see what kind of
knowledge the students have about the new material.
4.
Integration- Have a break in the information in
two different cycles. Ask a question then
discuss it then ask another question
Closure- Summarize material and highlight
what is important and start introducing next
chapter.

Assessment
Motivation
Involving students in activities is a good
Assessment for this model should involve
way to keep the students motivated. You
specific topic and the relationship among
can use personalized examples, do group
them. Some ways to do this is:
activities and asking questions out loud
1. Short essays
during the discussion.
2. Giving students different words and
having the student show you
Sohow
what? What is important to understand about this?
they relate to each other.
Modification
To modify this model can use things like
pictures or examples to try and explain
different concepts. You can also use
definitions or generalizations to help with
the modification.
This method is more than just a lecture. Its a participation between teacher and students to ensure that the students understand what you are trying
to teach.
