Connectors
Introduction
Power Link cables have been manufactured to meet the changing requirements over time. Amongst these are: shielding against
unwanted noise impact, cable diameter to have as flexible cable as possible, number of wires to convey the needed signals and
grounding for this.
This document lists the types of Power Link cables present. A section also lists those Power Link cables that are obsolete/
historical, but still part of many installations and possibly in stock locally.
With each type of cables wiring information is given consisting of pin-table for each connector, the principles of the plugs and
the principle of the cable construction is shown.
A table of available cables is shown as well.
The document summarize the available cables in a complete table with information about cable plugs, cable length, cable colour,
cable diameter incl. official naming and marking. Thereby comparison between index numbers is possible. Cables that were
obsolete in former time are also shown in this summary table.
Note:
In ROS (Retail Ordering System) the correct part numbers will always be presented.
Conditions of use
Power Link cables should never be led in the same cable conduits/cable channels as any AC power cord.
The GND wires on PIN 2 and PIN 7 in the DIN connector or PIN 3/PIN 7 and the braided shield in the RJ45 connector must never
be connected/short circuited!

Power Link cables with wire for Display Data
The Display Data wire is used for: BeoLab 3000, BeoLab 4500, BeoLab 5000 and Penta MK II/III) and passive speakers (BeoVox 1,
BeoVox 2-1 and BeoVox 2-2) driven by ML/MCL Converter: pin 1 is necessary for power on/off and pin 8 for overload detection
(Penta MK II).
In case longer cables, fully mounted, are needed, the Network Link product cable (6250028),
300 m /975 feet may be used for self-mounting. See Network Link Passive infrastructure Manual.

In case a loudspeaker does not have a socket for daisy chaining to another loudspeaker, the Power Link splitter may be used.
