Staircase Reinforcement Design Example

This document provides an example of designing a staircase that spans parallel to the flight with landings. It includes specifications for the staircase dimensions, material properties, and loads. It then calculates the average thickness, characteristic actions, and design moment for the landing and flight. The main reinforcement and secondary reinforcement are designed to resist the maximum calculated design moment of 63.69 kNm/m. Shear resistance, deflection, and cracking design are also to be checked as usual.
