Big Idea: A participle is a form of a verb that is often used as an adjective.
Participles usually end in --ing, --ed, or --en.
Examples:

walking tour

eaten hamburger

cooked food

baked beans

Directions: Please underline each participle in the following sentence. Draw an arrow to the noun that it
describes. Participles, like other adjectives, tell what kind or which one.
