Installation Document OBIEE 11g

Oracle database was installed by clicking through installation prompts, including providing an installation path and password of "Oracle123". The Oracle Configuration Assistant launched upon completion. The Oracle installation was then successfully finished. The Oracle Business Intelligence metadata schemas were then installed on the newly configured Oracle database using the Repository Creation Utility (RCU). The RCU was run from its BIN directory using the rcu.bat file. The RCU installation used the Oracle database with a hostname of "localhost", port 1521, service name "orcl", username "sys" and password "Oracle123". Oracle Business Intelligence 11g was then installed by providing usernames and passwords for the weblogic, DEV_BIPLATFORM and DEV_M

Oracle 11g Installation:

Uncheck the check box and click on 'NEXT'

Click on 'YES'

Click on 'NEXT'

Click on 'NEXT'

Give the path where the oracle to install and password as : Oracle123
and Click on 'NEXT'

Checking for Prerequisite checks

Click on 'Ignore All' check box and click on 'NEXT'

Click on 'FINISH'

Next installation process starts

Once it is 100%, oracle will launch Database configuration screen.

Click on 'OK'

Click on 'CLOSE'.

Oracle installation successfully completed

Install RCU:

BI 11g is now standardized with Oracle fusion middleware and hence leverage database for
metadata storage just like any other middleware product. So here we are going to install
BI11g metadata schema on oracle database you just installed and configured. Same process
can be leveraged to install metadata schema on other supported databases as well.
If you have not done already, please download BI11g installation files and RCU installation
files. Please make sure all the zipped files have downloaded correctly and unzipped into a
single folder.

Now we will start the installation of metadata schema using RCU.
From unzipped folder for RCU, run rcu.bat file to start the utility: rcu.bat file is located under
rcuHome\BIN directory.

In the below step Make sure database type is Oracle Database and enter following
information to continue.
For e.g:
Host Name: localhost
Port: 1521
Service Name: orcl
Username: sys
Role: sysdba
Password: Oracle123 (Password given to oracle)

Installing OBIEE 11g :

Username: weblogic
Password: weblogic123

Username: DEV_BIPLATFORM
Password: oracle123

Username: DEV_MDS
Password: oracle123
