Cable Gland Selection for Flameproof Enclosures

This document provides selection guidance for cable entry devices into flameproof enclosures based on certain conditions: 1) It differentiates between enclosures containing an internal source of ignition versus those that do not, recommending a suitable flameproof cable entry device with a sealing ring for the latter. 2) For enclosures in Zone 1 areas, it recommends cable glands certified as type of protection "d" - flameproof, such as types CR-C, CR-X, CR-U, or CR-S. 3) It indicates that for enclosures with a volume greater than 2dm3, type CROCLOCK or EMD cable glands should be used.
