ADI DRAVIDA WELFARE SCHOLARSHIP Adi Dravida Welfare Scholarships of the Tamilnadu State Government are granted as per government norms. BACKWARD CLASS SCHOLARSHIP Residential and Non-Residential scholarships for the BC, MBC and DNC students sanctioned by the Backward class Department of the Tamilnadu State Government are granted as per government norms. Both scholarship is climbed from the Govt Welfare office for the eligibility students only. Our trust donate the fund for economically backward students. CLUB

TAMIL MANDRAM In our institution, we organize Tamil Mandram for our students so as to make them proficient in the use of Tamil Language, classical literature and tradition of the world. In order to develop the oratorical skills of students, they are encouraged to participate in various elocution competitions conducted outside the campus, also. Programmes are arranged to widen the literary interest of the students.

ENGLISH LITERARY CLUB Learning English Language is directly proportional to the employability of students and it enhances the quality of students by promoting good communicative skills among them. English Literary club is functioning to promote these products in an effective way. As a part of its various activities, eminent experts in English Language teaching are brought to our campus to orient our students on successful pedagogical patterns for teaching and learning English. SCIENCE CLUB Present Era is an era of Science and Technology. It is very important to impart the scientific approach among the students by means of providing direct experimentation and experiences. In our Institution, Science Club is providing opportunities to the students to do the mini- project along with their subjects additionally. Also, it arranges special seminars, Lectures by the expertise personalities from the fields concerned and provides information through arranging industrial visits. RESEARCH CLUB Every invention has its own value and importance. Every research has its own need and importace of individual and the society. An innovative approach towards any activity definitely lead the individual in a productive way. The Research Club of our College aspires the [Link] students to take up the new approaches and themes for their research work by means of providing different and innovative scientific experimentation and seminars. ECO CLUB Environmental Education is very important in all levels of learning in order to protect and preserve the nature from the unexpected natural calamities. ECO-Club, in our institutions actively conduct many programmes related to the nature and its importance so as to bring the awareness of environment and our eco system among the training teachers. Also, the different activities assigned such as volunteers to address environmental issues, community sensitization work where actions are organized to get community involved and formulating recreational activities that brings students close to nature.

CURRICULAR

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME TEACHING PRACTICE SCHOOL VISIT CAMP FIELD TRIP EDUCATIONAL TOUR PROGRAMME.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME The four elements of communication skills in English language have to form a part of teachers proficiency. Hence the bridge course is organized to maximize the teachers competency in these skills (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking ). A regular program is being conducted ever year. Further Bridge Course is given for Students on aspecps like Teacher Education, Statutory Bodies, Roll of Teacher etc.

TEACHING PRACTICE Our students undergo intensive teaching practice in two phases, systematically. In the first phase, they are instructed to observe the real classroom activities provided with schools for their practice to be conducted in the next phases, and it takes strictly for 10 days. This enables them to orient themselves towards the high ideals set forth by the highly dedicated and committed teachers of those schools. In the second phase, they undergo a regular macro teaching practice for 30 working days. Our students are put in 40 schools in and around Perambalur which include our school as well. SCHOOL VISIT The special schools are visited by our students:

Blind Govt. Hr. Sec., School, Trichy. Vidivelli Mentally Retarded, Trichy. Hellan Keller Deaf and Dumb school, Near Jeyangondam. Gowdhama Budha Trust for Deaf and Dumb, Perambalur. Father Hans Roever Blind School, Perambalur.

LOCAL VISIT Local visits to place of interest such as sugar factory, Ranjankudi fort, Sithannvasal, Trichy Handicraft, Anna farm, Kudumian Malai etc., is an enriching activity that helps our students to understand the cultural richness of our city and nation. EDUCATIONAL TOUR PROGRAMME This Educational tour is a visit to most of the tourist destinations and other academic centers of learning in order to realize the real value of Life and different cultures. This enables them to understand the value of teachers and their activities towards the effective teaching by associating their direct experiences. PLACEMENT TRAINING In our institution, we are training our students through the following ways:

How to face an Interview. How to write Resumes. Enhancing subject Competency. Exquisite Presentation of Classes. Establishment of Unique Methodology of Teaching, etc.

CARRIER COUNSELLING In Our Counselling part is not confined within the campus, it also extends on the carrier of an each and individual viz.,

How to adopt with the environment. How to preserve non-renewable recourses. How to respect our tradition and customs.

How to behave with the different atmosphere, etc.,

ACADEMIC COUNSELLING Our students are strictly advised to attend this counselling session so as to help them to choose their further studies and hence it will motivate them to place in an appropriate job in future. Also, this counselling extend to the faculty members and their activities. Here, faculty members are suggested to attend and participate this type of programmes, hence it will enhance the potentialities of the Lectures in introducing new trends in emerging teaching technology.

GRIEVANCE AND REDRESSAL CELL In our college, the duty of the Lectures and Administrators is not confined with the teaching activities only. Our main aim is to produce an effective and eminent all round personality with their educational qualification. Hence, a special cell, namely Grievance and Redressal Cell is operating in our institution in order to take care of their discipline in all aspects with remedial measures periodically.

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY Educational Technology coined from the terms Technology in Education and Technology of Education. It means that materials used in the process and methods adapted to utilize the materials appropriately are correlated by means of providing special training to the faculty members in accordance with the available Educational Technology resources. COMPUTER EDUCATION Today Computer Literacy in an unavoidable element in teaching learning process. Especially in Teacher Training Institute should provide an appropriate computer education during their course period itself. And this type of training and coaching will enhance the better teaching learning process in association with concrete knowledge in Computer Education. PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND HEALTH EDUCATION Health is Wealth Physical Education is one of the subjects in the course of study. Mental strength is enhanced with the physical exercise. In our institution, we are availing all types of physical exercise related to the course periodically. Also, health education counselling is done with the physical education director so as to equip the individual to know the importanance of physical and health education. LIBRARY STUDIES The strength and value of any institution can be determined by a well equipped library. The learning process is not complete with the learning the course material itself. A student, he/she should possess a wide passion for gathering knowledge by learning different books in different fields. In our institution, we are providing a special

attention to make the pupils to learn different books in different fields so as to make their leisure time productively.

About LIbrary Oxford College of Education library has a collection of more than 8500 Volumes, 14 printed periodicals and more than 600 online periodicals which are subscribed regularly to provide the latest information on the various subjects of study. All the books are classified and arranged as per the DDC Classification system. The Library is fully computerized with bar code facility. MODERNLIB Software is used for Computerization purpose. ARTS AND CRAFT The teaching course imparts more importance for Arts and Craft, because students (student teachers) are trained to teach the content or every concept with the teaching aids, models, simulation, experiments, etc., Hence, we are providing a separate class for training in the production of arts and craft periodically. Special care has been taken to make our library a store house of knowledge. Recent editions of valuable books are made available to all students. International journals and University magazines are subscribed to help the young research scholars of our College. Career Guidance Cell: The main aim of this programme is to help our students in getting jobs depending on their skills. Students can benefit themselves by surveillance of notice board every day. Students Grievance Cell: The main aim of this cell is to help the students and eradicate their grievances in all aspects. Students can make their compliant to the coordinator at any moment.
