Safety Warnings
1. MICRO Repeater receives and amplifies signal from donor BTS and distributes it to the
mobile station through antennas in indoor coverage systems.
MICRO Repeater also receives and
amplifies signal from mobile station in indoor coverage systems, and distributes it to BTS.
MICRO
Repeater is designed for this application only. Outdoor repeater must be placed at a safe position to
avoid possible damages caused by its falling down.
Users are not supposed to maintain or replace
components, which may cause irrevocable damages to repeater.
Laser is destructive to eyes, so
please do not place optic fiber direct to the eyes.
2. Repeater must follow system requirements with proper grounding & thunder-proof
facilities.
Power supply voltage must satisfy safety requirements. Anybody who operates repeater
must cut off power supply first. Only certified maintenance staff can operate with power-on.
3. Repeater radiates electromagnetic wave, which will cause damage to human body.
People other than maintenance staff please keep away.
4. Electro-Static Discharge can't injure human body but may damage the key components of
repeater if dealt improperly.
Most of parts on PCB are vulnerable to static. Unless have to, do not
touch PCB and the conductors without insulator. If have to, please take ESD protection measures or
touch the repeater cabinet first. Keep clothing away from PCB or the conductors without insulator.
Use ESD bag to protect PCB.
5. MICRO Repeater must be away from fire, as electronic components may explode upon
fire.
6. Co-axial Cable insulator is made from polytetrafluoroethylene, which will emit hydrogen
fluoride when heated. Do not use heating tools to remove the insulator layer. Standby battery is Nibattery. Please put battery to professional recycling site.

Com
Complete
With its abundant experience in RF engineering, Sunwave have developed a complete range of
repeaters include band selective, channel selective, fiber optical, and frequency translating products.
The products cover all frequency bands in mobile communication, including GSM, DCS, TETRA,
GSM-R, etc.
Excellent RF Performance
Sunwave repeaters optimized RF design ensures a transparent and trouble-free up and down link
RF path through the delicacy of balancing & control over parameters like noise figure, up/downlink
power output and link budget, out of band rejection, self-oscillation, ACPR, IMD3, , and time delay
etc.
Mechanical Design
The self-developed aluminum die cast cabinet is ideal for tough weather conditions. Cabinet cooling
undergoes heat simulation tests, which proves that Sunwave Micro can achieve excellent heat
distribution with small size. Uplink & downlink RF circuit is module-designed with high accuracy in
dimension; the surface is conductive-oxidation treated with good conductivity and erosion resistance.
The module complies with all EMC requirements. Sunwave repeater conforms to indoor & outdoor
requirements.
Remote Control & Monitoring Options
Remote control module is the core part of remote control, which has 3 functions: parameter
configuration, data query & alarm processing. There is standby battery so system may continue to
work when power supply is off. System will send power-off alarm.

4. MICRO Functions
GSM MICRO is a dual direction RF amplification device. BTS downlink signal reaches GSM MICRO
through outdoor Rx antenna, after signal amplification through GSM MICRO, the amplified signals are
transmitted to indoor coverage antenna systems to the target coverage area.
Uplink signals from
mobile stations go through indoor coverage antennas, then amplified by GSM MICRO, then
transmitted to RX antenna to BTS.
GSM MICRO is connected through donor antenna to BTS through N type co-axial cable. GSM
MICRO has wireless connection with BTS through donor antenna via N type co-axial cable. GSM
MICRO connects to MS Tx antenna with N type co-axial cable. The LED on the panel gives
indications on the working status of GSM MICRO (please refer to LED section).
