The teacher uses manipulatives like cubes, abacus and base-ten blocks depending on the lesson. She organizes the class by giving each group the manipulatives to share. While she follows the standard lesson plan, she spends less time on activities and more time explaining lessons thoroughly. She prepares the materials in advance and distributes them after explaining the activity. She demonstrates and models how to use the manipulatives by providing clear instructions and examples.
