REPORT TOPICS
1. INDUSTRIAL WASTE DISPOSAL
Waste management or Waste disposal is all the activities and actions required to manage
waste from its inception to its final disposal. [1]This includes amongst other things,
collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste together with monitoring and
regulation. It also encompasses the legal and regulatory framework that relates to waste
management encompassing guidance on recycling etc.
2. DIABETES
Diabetes mellitus (DM), commonly referred to as diabetes, is a group of metabolic
diseases in which there are high blood sugar levels over a prolonged period. Symptoms of
high blood sugar include frequent urination, increased thirst, and increased hunger. If left
untreated, diabetes can cause many complications. Acute complications can
include diabetic ketoacidosis, nonketotic hyperosmolar coma, or death.[4] Serious long-
term complications include heart disease, stroke, chronic kidney failure, foot ulcers,
and damage to the eyes.
3. AGROFUELS AND BIOENERGY
A biofuel is a fuel that is produced through contemporary biological processes, such as
agriculture and anaerobic digestion, rather than a fuel produced by geological processes
such as those involved in the formation of fossil fuels, such as coal and petroleum, from
prehistoric biological matter. Biofuels can be derived directly from plants, or indirectly
from agricultural, commercial, domestic, and/or industrial wastes. Renewable biofuels
generally involve contemporary carbon fixation, such as those that occur
in plants or microalgae through the process of photosynthesis.
4. LIFE ON MARS
The possibility of life on Mars is a subject of significant interest to astrobiology due to
the planet's proximity and similarities to Earth. To date no proof has been found of past or
present life on Mars. However, cumulative evidence is now building that the ancient
surface environment of Mars had liquid water and may have been habitable for
microorganisms. The existence of habitable conditions does not necessarily indicate the
presence of life.
5. GPU Graphical Processing unit)
A graphics processing unit (GPU), occasionally called visual processing unit (VPU), is a
specialized electronic circuit designed to rapidly manipulate and alter memory to
accelerate the creation of images in a frame buffer intended for output to a display device.
GPUs are used in embedded systems, mobile phones, personal computers, workstations,
and game consoles
6. CLOUD COMPUTING
Cloud computing is a type of Internet-based computing that provides shared computer
processing resources and data to computers and other devices on demand. It is a model
for enabling ubiquitous, on-demand access to a shared pool of configurable computing
resources (e.g., computer networks, servers, storage, applications and services), which
can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort.
