Rooted Device Method

The document provides two methods for spoofing location in Pokemon Go - a rooted device method and a non-rooted device method. The rooted method involves unlocking the bootloader, installing TWRP and Magisk, hiding Pokemon Go from detecting root access, and using a GPS spoofing app with indirect mocking enabled. The non-rooted method involves trying different fake GPS apps from the Play Store to bypass errors, but it is not reliable and may lead to shadowbans.

Rooted Device method (Recommend):

There are two methods:

A)

[Link] bootloader of your device (If it is locked).

2. Install TWRP in your device (Custom recovery) via computer.

3. Flash Latest Magisk zip via TWRP.

4. Open Magisk manager make sure ur device passes SafetyNet checks.

5. Then open the left hand side hamburger menu there is a option called 'Magisk hide' tap on it
select/check pokemon go.

6. Then download GPS joystick by Appninjas & Link2sd or Lucky patcher from playstore.

7. Open GPS joystick app make a clone out of it using the 'Privacy mode' option. Uninstall the
original version of GPS joystick.

8. Open Link2sd app find cloned version of GPS joystick tap on it, then there is a option called
'Convert to system app' tap on it.

9. Then open the GPS joystick app go to settings turn on the system mode. Then type in
coordinates or search via name, initiate the joystick & you are good to go.

B)

1. Unlock bootloader & get TWRP

2. Flash latest version of Magisk

3. Install the lastest Magisk apk

3. Make sure it passes System Integrity SafetyNet checks(Option given inside the app)

4. Install Pokemon GO ...goto Magisk Hide>Select & hide Pokemon GO from detecting root access.

5. Install GPS app by Appninjas, or any other GPS app(doesn't matter as long as you clone
it/Package name but be random).

6. Open Appninjas GPS app, create clone by clicking private mode, give a custom name.

7. Enable Developer options>Goto "Mock locations">Select Appninjas GPS app.

8. Goto GPS clone app, goto settings, tap "Enable Indirect Mocking".

9. Open Pokemon GO, if you get any GPS error, that means that you have to use another
compatible rom (with a different security patch). For that goto XDA website, and check ROMs for
your device. After each ROM installation, repeat steps 1-8 till the GPS error, if any, goes away.
Whichever doesn't throw an error, stick to that rom
Non-Rooted Device method (Not-recommended):

1. Try out several Fake GPS apps one by one from the playstore.

2. Enable Developer options>Goto "Mock locations">Select a particular GPS app.

3. Open Pokemon GO, if you get any GPS error, try another app.

Note for non-rooted method:

1. Some Fake GPS apps don't offer joysticks, in these, you can still teleport to a location.

2. Due to non-root, your GPS might shift rapidly sometimes between actual location and
teleported location, eventually causing a shadowban.

3. In most cases, Non-rooted method does not work for Android 6 and above.

Rooting is an easy process. Goto YouTube, type "How to root (Your phone brand, model and
variant)" or goto XDA website
