Subject: Pre-acceptance to the Bachelors degree programme in Engineering and


Computer Science

Dear’ Sir‘/Madame.

we are pleased to inform you that your application meets the requirements for
admission to our Master degree programme in Engineering and Computer Science
starting in academic year 2017-2018.
Courses will start officially at the end of September 2017 and will be fully taught
in English. The programme lasts three academic years (120 ECTS). Students are expected
to graduate by December 2020.

Tuition Fees
Tuition fees consist in two parts: a fixed one and a variable one. The fixed part
amounts to 398,17€ whilst the variable one is calculated on the basis of student household
income in country of iesidence. The maximum amount of the variable part of tuition fees is
€1.750,00.
In order to calculate the variable part of tuition fees, you need to be provided by
the German Diplomatic/Consular Authority in the country of residence with a document
assessing his/her household income translated in Italian.

Pre-enrolment Application Form for Non-EU Students


Enrolment at UniME for non-EU applicants will be completed following
fulfillment of the immigration requirements set by the German Embassy Consulate in
your country. Please note that this admission letter does not substitute the pre-enrolment
application at the German Embassy Consulate in your country of residence, which should
be submitted approximately between March and June 2017.
Documents to be provided on Arrival:

 University degree diploma translated into German, legalized and accompanied


by the Declaration of value issued by the German Embassy or Consulate in the
country where you have obtained your degree.

 To enroll to an German University, it is mandatory to have a 12-year school


diploma. Make sure your Declaration of Value issued by the Diplomatic/Consular
Authority in the country ot residence states the number of years of school prior to
University enrolment.
 A certified copy of your academic transcript of records issued by your University,
stating all the courses taken, translated into German (or in English) legalized by
the Diploiiiatic/Consular Authority in the country of residence. A Diploma
Supplement can substitute this requirement.
 The Declaration of value is not required in case you have a Diploma
Supplement for your BA/BSc. The Diploma Supplement must be issued in
English (according to the EC, Europe Council and Unesco rules). The Diploma
supplement is issued by universities in countries belonging to the European Higher
Education Area.

Further information
You are expected to be in Messina by mid-September 2017 at the latest. Please
inform us about your arrival date as soon as possible. Within 8 days on arrival in Berlin,
you have to come to the International Cooperation and Foreign Students Office to start
enrolment procedure.
