Reflection:

On Monday 25th March, I taught KG2D from Al Naseem school in the classroom. The students
learned about counting from 1 to 30. I had a lesson for KG2D students, the lesson was in the
classroom. My lesson was about counting from 1 to 30. I wanted to know if students know what
the numbers is and if they know counting in order by start with number 1 until 30 and how we
use the objects to count. I try to make students exited for the lesson because that I start with
games "The teacher will distributed small box to each group then will choose a leader for each
group to throw the dice and count the points and take the stone and place it in the box of the
group. In the end, the teacher will choose another student to count the stone in each group. Since
I know that KG2D are so active students they prefer to move instead of sitting on the carpet, so I
try to add an activity that allows them to move and search I think they like it. In the writing
section they will focus in writing sentence with numbers and they have example (I can see three
birds). In art section they will have a caterpillar without a body and then each student must draw
a circle according to the number written in his paper of circles to form the caterpillar body. In
math section they will have a worksheet about house building of 2D shapes then the students
will count each shape and will put the total numbers. In science centre they will explore and put
the plaster in right place. In reading section, they will have numbers chart from 1 to 30 to read
it. In role play centre each two student will work together, they will have bottle cover with
numbers and card with incomplete numbers and they will put each missing number up the right
place in the card. I think students react well with me, they like the all my various activities. I do
think that my lesson meets my teaching goals. My MST was very happy of me she told me that I
did better than she expected, and the students also was very happy for the lesson because it
combined learning and fun. are very joyful and energetic so sometimes she had hard time to
calm them down, but it was a good experience I will d my best next time. I will try to catch the
student’s attention with a good activates that allows them to have fun instead of keeping them
sitting and staring to the board. Also, next time I will manage my time better, I think the opining
took more time that I planned.
