Planning Worksheet-1

Planning is a key managerial function that involves determining goals and actions to achieve those goals. The planning process includes identifying objectives, alternatives to meet objectives, and selecting the best alternative. Planning occurs at all levels of management and departments. It provides the framework for other managerial functions to work within. While planning aims to prepare for an uncertain future, it has limitations such as not being able to foresee everything and plans sometimes taking too long to implement. Different types of plans include standing plans that are used repeatedly and single-use plans designed for unique situations.
