1.Enter the data below into SPSS by hand. Save it as ‘PET-


hand.sav’
BEFORE: 8, 7, 9, 6, 8, 9, 6, 9, 5

AFTER: 4, 5, 6, 3, 5, 2, 8, 6, 7

2.Export the data from ‘PET.xlsx’

3.Click ‘Analyze’, ‘Compare Means’, ‘Paired-Sample T Test’. As shown below,


Using the arrow to add the two variables, ‘BEFORE’ and ‘AFTER’, into ‘Pair 1’.

4. Save the data file as ‘PET-excel.sav’. Save the output window as ‘PET-
output.spv’.

5. Nice job! Ask TA or me to check your saved files.
