Please Read This Before Continuing!

I have put a lot of time and effort into making this TSM Guide, but more so with getting the whole export ready,
and keeping that upto date…

It’s completely FREE! Therefore, I ask you of one thing, respect the owner of this content and do NOT share this
anywhere else, without permission!

I have seen a few people sharing this on YouTube, sharing it in YouTube comments and most annoyingly, other
discord servers!

Please refrain from doing this, it will simply result in a permanent ban from Studen’s discord and I’ll simply
change the links to the TSM guide and my Github profile. It’s an annoyance for me, so please just respect me and
the content I have made.
Introduction to TSM
What is TSM?
TradeSkillMaster (Mostly known and called “TSM”) is a World of Warcraft
addon that is designed around the idea of Gold Farming. It can group items
together and assign operations to those groups to Restock on Crafted
Transmog, Post and Cancel items on the Auction House and Snipe items for
you to flip (AND A LOAD MORE!)

It’s simply one of the best add-ons that has ever existed for World of Warcraft,
this is especially true when paired with Auctioneer OR Auctionator.

Additionally, you may want to pair TSM with one other Auction House
Addon, Pick ONE!
- Auctioneer (I Prefer)
- Auctionator (StudenAlbatroz Prefers)
How to Set-up
Simply Install the TSM Desktop App and Sign In
Click “Settings” and then “Setup Realm” As shown in the Image with the
Numbers and Coloured Boxes.

Your Realm Next, Sign into TSM on the Website it’ll load (The TSM Website), then follow

on the TSM Desktop the below picture, Select your Region, Select your Realm and then finally,
Click “Add Realm”!

App Now simply wait for the info to come through the TSM Desktop App!
Basic Price Sources
DBMinBuyout ( AuctionDB - Min Buyout)
This is the lowest price of an item on your Auction House, based on the latest Blizzard AH API Scan.

DBMarket (AuctionDB - Market Value)

This is the average price of an Item on your realm, over the past 2Weeks (14 Days). Favoring the most recent 3
days.

DBRegionMinBuyout (AuctionDB - Region Min Buyout Avg)

This is the average MinBuyout of an item in your Region, this essentially takes the MinBuyout from every
realm in your region, then divides the result by how many servers there are.

DBRegionMarketAvg (AuctionDB - Region Market Value Avg)

This is the average DBMarket across your Region, this essentially takes the DBMarket from every realm in
your region, then divides the result by how many servers there are.

Note: DBGlobalMinBuyout and DBGlobalMarketAvg NO LONGER work!

Global price setting were removed from TSM!
What are Groups &
Operations?
What is a Group?
A Group is a collection of items put together, which can be assigned an
operation to post the collection of items to the Auction House.
A Group is like a box, it stores items which have been placed inside of the
box.

What is an Operation?
An operation contains the settings for your Group of which it would post at.
An operation is like a price tag, which can be attached to the box, which tells
the box how much each item should be worth, with How much to list an item
as a Maximum Price, Normal Price and a Minimum Price.
How to Add Items
This is IMPORTANT! READ THIS!

to Groups!
With my export, there will be a VERY FEW items that
are not added yet, so it’s important that you know how
to add items to the group! Image for guidance is on
the left!

Step 1 (Red)) Select the correct Group, in this example

it’s a Xmog Item (That is LOOTED), so select Xmog >
Looted

Step 2 (Orange)) ENSURE that “Ignore Random

Enchants” is TICKED!!!!!!! (IMPORTANT)

Step 3 (Green)) Tick the Items you wish to add to the

group!

But Wait, I don’t see a “Cancel All” Button like in TSM3??????

In order to “Cancel All” you simply click “My Auctions” and check the box
that says “Hide Auctions with Bids”, then simply click on an auction and start

it ONCE, reload the game and try at the AH again, do it once more if it
doesn’t work. It SHOULD work!

Everytime you go to Cancel / Post, Hold the Modifies and use your Scroll

Dazar’alor), World Drop - Epic, World Drop - Uncommon!

If done correctly, your Xmog group should look like what it does on the left!
Setting up
Now you have done the Armor & Weapons | Xmog / Gear Group! We will
now do the “Battle Pets” Sub-Groups, this is extremely easier!

Sub-Groups! Simply click the “ + ” on Battle Pets and simply rename the 3 Sub-Groups
you add to the following (or Copy and Paste),
● Battle Pet | Caged
● Battle Pet | L1
● Battle Pet | L25

Done, now let's move onto Consumables!

● Death Knight

Sub-Groups! ●

Demon Hunter
Druid
Hunter
● Mage
● Monk
● Paladin
● Priest
● Rogue
● Shaman

● Warrior

Like This --------------------------->

Continue to the next slide for

Stackable Sub-Groups!
Setting up
Now, Click on “Miscellaneous > Stackables” and click the “ + ” 5 Times to
create 5 Sub-Groups! Name them the following,
● Encrypted Twilight Text

Sub-Groups! ●

Giant Dinosaur Bone
Limited Stacks (10)
Pet Stuff
● Stackables
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are done with the Miscellaneous Group!

We also make separate Encrypted Twilight Text and Giant Dinosaur Bone
groups as TSM4 allows you to sell in stacks of 999 now! Encrypted Twilight
Text stacks up to 250, Giant Dinosaur Bones stack up to 999, so therefore 2
additional groups are required (Unless you want to post in the normal 20 /
200)
Setting up
Finally, with Patterns & Plans, Click the “ + ” Twice! Name the Sub-Groups
the following,
● Looted / Quest

Sub-Groups! ● Vendor

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That is it, you are done with the Groups! They SHOULD look like this!
Setting up Operations
Settings up
Click “Add” in the Auctioning tab, rename this operation to “Sell Armor &
weapon | Enchant”
Now, Click “Posting” on the “Sell Armor & Weapon | Enchant” Operation.

Operations! Set the Duration) 12H / 24H / 48H (Pick ANY, 12H / 24H is recommended)
Set Post Cap) Set this to 200, this sets the maximum quantity you want on the
AH, just set it to 200 and forget about it!
Set Post Stack Size) Leave this at 1, Enchants are best sold in stacks of 1!

Price Setting) Set the “Bid Percentage” to “ 95% ”

Next, set the “Undercut Amount” to 1c, it should be this by default!

Set Minimum Price) Set “When Below Min” to “Post at Normal Price”,
Then come back to the Min Price and put it as the following,
“ 35% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Set Max Price) Set “When Above Max” to “Post at Maximum Price”, Then
come back to the Max Price and put it as the following,
“ 200% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Set Normal Price) Set the Normal price as the following,

“ 130% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

MORE ON THIS OPERATION, ON THE NEXT SLIDE!

Settings up Now you have setup the “Sell Armor & Weapons | Enchant” Posting settings,
click on the “Canceling” of this operation!

Operations! Cancel to Repost Higher) SET THIS TO OFF, IT’S AN ANNOYING

FUNCTION THAT SHOULDN’T EXIST :rage:

Repost Higher Threshold) Turn this off, simply set the number to “ 0c ”

You have completed your first operation! Now this is where the fast part
comes in, you can duplicate operations and simply just change the posting
settings based on this guide! You’ve done the hardest part!
Learning to
Duplicate
TSM4 has a button which you can click to Duplicate an Operation!

Operations! This will duplicate the exact settings and create another operation, but it’ll put
a number after it. (As you can see in Image3). The idea here, is using the
operation from “Sell Armor & Weapons | Enchant”, which you just made. We
will be duplicating this, and simply changing the name of the operation and
the Min, Normal and Max price in each to suit the group!

This makes setting up TSM4 extremely easy, as you’ll be able to skip most
stuff from what you did the first operation.

So, Click the Duplicate button on the “Sell Armor & Weapons | Enchant”
Operation, you’ll end up with “Sell Armor & Weapons | Enchant 1”, now click
this operation and rename the Operation to, (or Copy and Paste)
“ Sell Armor & Weapons | Gem ”

Proceed to the next slide!

Settings up
Operations!
Now you have made “Sell Armor & Weapons | Gem”, you can simply move
on to the next operation, this is because the price setup for Enchants is perfect
for gems.

So once you have duplicated the operation, duplicate it again and name the
next operation “Sell Armor & Weapons | Xmog”.
Settings up
Now you have made the “Sell Armor & Weapon | Xmog” operation, you can
see there are a few changes. Simply adjust them as shown in the image, or as
said below!

Operations! Set Post Cap) Set the post cap to “ 2 ”, this is because you only want 2 of one
Xmog item to be on the auction house, one for when there is a buyer, and the
second one to be posted for if there is another buyer after the first one has
been bought, posting 3 at once is fine, but it’s a little excessive, so I’d suggest
setting the post cap to 2 for Xmog.

Minimum Price) Set the Min price to this,

“ 35% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set the Max price to this,

“ 140% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set the Normal price to this,

“ 115% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”
Settings up
Duplicate the “Sell Armor & Weapon | Xmog”, then rename the duplicate to
“Sell Battle Pet”. Some changes occur here, the post cap and price, so follow
the image or text below!

Operations! Set Post Cap) I set this to 3 for Battle Pets, they tend to sell faster than Xmog
and therefore having 3 on the auction house is acceptable, although you can
have 2 as your post cap for this operation if you really wish.

Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 40% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 180% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 120% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Finally, duplicate this operation and name it “ Sell Battle Pet | L1 “.

Leave ALL the settings as is for the Level 1 battle pet operation, they are
perfectly setup for this. (“Battle Pet” & “Battle Pet L1” should be the same)
Settings up
Now you have both the “Sell Battle Pet” and “Sell Battle Pet | L1” operations
set-up, it’s time to do “Sell Battle Pet | L25”, so duplicate the L1 operation
and change the duplicated operation to “L25” (As shown in the image).

Operations! The only difference here, is the prices, so here they are!

Set Post Cap) Leave it at 2 or 3, from previous group!

Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 45% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 200% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 135% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”
Yes, The screenshot jumped a few operations, it’s so you understand the
Stack size difference in Operations, to make Consumables, Dino Bones

Settings up
(ETC) easier to understand!

Operations!
Now we are moving onto the BfA Material Operations, it is extremely
important that you get this correct, so focus!
Duplicate the “Sell Battle Pet | L25” Operation, change the name to this
“ Sell Material (1) ”

Make the changes as stated below,

Set Post Cap) The previous operation used a post cap, so set this back to 200
for the Material Group!

Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 40% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 200% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 140% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Move to the next Slide, READ IT CAREFULLY!

Settings up
So, for materials we want different stack sizes. So, Duplicate the operation,
“ Sell Material (1) ” and when duplicated, rename it to this,

Operations!
“ Sell Material (100)”. Notice in the image (Marked in red), that the Stack
Size has changed from “1” to “100”. The idea here, is you match the stack
size WITH the name of the operation! This is ALL that changes for the
Materials, you’ve setup the price in the first Material operation, so just dupe
the previous Material operation and change the stack size!

You NEED the following

● Sell Material (1) ---> You should already have this!
● Sell Material (100) ---> You should have just did this!
● Sell Material (20)
● Sell Material (200)
● Sell Material (5)

So, Sell Material (200) should have a posted stack size of 200.
Sell Sell Material (5) should have a posted stack size of 5.
Sell Material (100) should have a posted stack size of 100.

You get the point!

Settings up
Now for Consumables! Duplicate the Operation “Sell Material (1)” and then
name the operation as follows,
“Sell Consumable (1)”, this operation is going to work exactly like materials

Operations! (With the numbers in the name and Stack Sizes, so just change what is below
and then duplicate them based on the name/numbers given!

Change the prices to as follows,

Minimum Price) Set this to the following,
“ 40% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 180% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 140% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Now, Duplicate the operation multiple times and rename them to the
following (And change the stack size!).
● Sell Consumable (1) ----> You just did this one!
● Sell Consumable (10)
● Sell Consumable (15)
● Sell Consumable (20)
● Sell Consumable (5)
Settings up
Now for the Giant Dinosaur Bones! For this, Duplicate “Sell Consumable 1”.
Name the duplicated operation “Sell Giant Dinosaur Bones (1)”

Operations! The only changes here are the prices, change the prices to as shown below,
Minimum Price) Set this to the following,
“ 60% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 200% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 125% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Now, just like the materials, duplicate this new operation and change the name
and stack size to the number in the name!
● Sell Giant Dinosaur Bones (1) ---> You Just did this one!
● Sell Giant Dinosaur Bones (200)
● Sell Giant Dinosaur Bones (5)
● Sell Giant Dinosaur Bones (50)
● Sell Giant Dinosaur Bones (999)
Settings up
Now for Miscellaneous Operations, simply duplicate the “Sell Material (1)”
operation and rename it to “Sell Miscellaneous (1)”. Now we just need to
change the pricing a little to suit Miscellaneous Items!

Operations! Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 35% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 180% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 140% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Just like previous groups, duplicate this exact operation which you just made
for the next Miscellaneous operations, and just change the name and stack!
● Sell Miscellaneous (1) ----> You just did this one!
● Sell Miscellaneous (10)
● Sell Miscellaneous (15)
● Sell Miscellaneous (20)
● Sell Miscellaneous (5)
Settings up
Time for Mounts! Although there are two sub-groups for Mounts (Common
and Rare), you only need one operation as the pricing of this operation is
perfect for both sub-groups.

Operations! Duplicate the Group “Sell Material (1)”

Rename this duplicated group to “Sell Mount” and change everything based
on the image, or listed below!
Set Post Cap) You CAN Change this to 2 or 3, I prefer to have it at 200, in
my opinion it doesn’t matter, but if you’re serious for mount selling, you can
change the set post cap to 2 or 3!

Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 65% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 200% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 160% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”
Settings up
For Patterns & Plans, simply duplicate the “Mount” Operation and change it
to “Sell Patterns & Plans”! Just change based on image, or what is below!

Operations! Set Post Cap) Set to 2 or 3, I prefer 3.

Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 35% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 140% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 115% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”
Settings up
Duplicate the Sell Patterns & Plans Operation, rename the new duplicated
operation to “Sell Quest Item” and change the settings based on below,

Operations! Set Post Cap) I set this to 200 because of certain items in the group (in my
export), you can put this to 2 or 3, but Darkmoon Faire Artifacts (Quest Items)
are in this group, which is ideal to post more than this, as they sell extremely
fast!

Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 45% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 180% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 130% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”
Settings up
Next Operation are the Toys! Duplicate the “Sell Patterns & Plans” operation
for the toy operation, then name it “Sell Toy”. Make changes as below,

Operations! Set Post Cap) Pattern & Plans group should be 2 or 3, This is fine for toys
(Pick 2 or 3)

Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 35% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 180% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 140% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”
Settings up
Now for Twilight Text Operations, simply duplicate the Sell Material (1)
operation and rename it to “Sell Twilight Text (1)”. Now we just need to
change the pricing a little to suit the Twilight Texts!

Operations! Set Post Cap) Keep Post Cap at 200 (If it isn’t already, set it to 200)

Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 25% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 180% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 120% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Now, just like materials Create operations based off of this one operation,
duplicate it and name the new ones as follows (change post size too).
● Sell Twilight Text (1) -----> You Just did this one!
● Sell Twilight Text (20)
● Sell Twilight Text (250)
● Sell Twilight Text (5)
● Sell Twilight Text (50)
Settings up Finally, you want to Duplicate the “Sell Mount” operation and name it,

The FINAL “Sell Unobtainable” Make changes based on image, or as below!

Auctioning Set Post Cap) I have this set to 5, this is ideal for Arrows, but also others!

Operation! Minimum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 50% min(DBMarket, DBRegionMarketAvg) ”

Maximum Price) Set this to the following,

“ 150% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Normal Price) Set this to the following,

“ 125% AVG(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg, DBRegionSaleAvg) ”

Now, we just need to set-up ONE crafting operation, and we can attach all the
operations to our groups, ready for importing!
Setting up a Crafting Operation
(For Xmog / Gear)
Note: There is no Lockbox operation, it’s just a group to keep it
neat! (I had a load of questions about this…)
Settings up a
CRAFTING
Now, Go to “Crafting” on the Operation Page and click “Add” as shown by
the white box.

Operation! Rename this to “Crafted Xmog Operation”, as shown in orange.

Minimum Restock Quantity) Change this to 0

Maximum Restock Quantity) Change this to 2 (As our Xmog post cap is 2)

Minimum Profit) Change this to “120% Crafting”

Price Settings) Enable this, as shown in the image. Then set the Craft Value,
“First(DBMinBuyout, DBMarket, DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg)”

You are DONE, Now time to apply these operations to our Groups! You are

Within “Armor & Weapons | Xmog / Gear” Click on the “Crafted” Sub-Group

Now, Click “Group Operations” and under “Crafting”, check the box for
“override parent operations” and select the crafting operation we made earlier.

Named, “Crafted Xmog Operation”. Apply it and move on!

Do this for both crafted Sub-Groups!

Note: If you want to add your own Auctioning operation for Crafting, feel
free to do so, but I personally feel that the normal Auctioning operation works
perfectly fine, with no extra operations needed for selling crafted stuff.

Finalising TSM & My Export
Operation
Management!
In each Category of the “Operations” there is a “#Default” operation.

Over the past few days, I’ve had people complaining that if they kept
#Default, it was interacting with the Groups and listing them under #Default
instead, I HIGHLY recommend that you delete the operations named

#Default
#Default to prevent this from happening!

ENSURE YOU DELETE THE OPERATIONS NAMED #Default !!!!!!!

TSM Guide
You have now set-up the Groups, Operations and you have attached the
operations to the groups! Now, all you need to do is import the items to the
groups! You’ll be pleased to know, it’s nice and easy!

Final Stage The link to my Export is right here)

[Link]

Before Proceeding with my Export, please read the next slide for a full
explanation and then a Step by Step guide on how to use my Export!
TSM Guide
When using my Export, you essentially need to treat a File as a Sub-Group
and a .txt file as the end Group.

Final Stage
As you can see, “Armor & Weapons | Enchant” has no Sub-Groups, it’s just
one group, therefore it’s a .txt file!

However, “Armor & Weapons - Xmog & Gear” is a Group that contains
Sub-Groups, therefore it’s a file. So, if we click “Armor & Weapons | Xmog &
Gear”, we will see this (Bottom left). Now, you can see “Darkmoon Faire”,
“Looted & Quest” and also the “Vendor” Sub-Groups. As shown below!

What you’re basically doing, is matching the .txt file with the Groups in your
TSM! So, what do you do with these .txt files? (Find out on the next slide!)
TSM Guide
On Github for Export
Step 1) Locate the Correct File vs Group

Final Stage
Step 2) Click Multiple Times to Highlight all the text, Copy this text by doing
Ctrl + C

In-Game
Step 1) Locate “Import/Export”
Step 2) Ensure you’re on Import
Step 3) Locate the Correct Group for the File you’re in! (Shown in
Screenshot, it’s highlighted in yellow (in the background))

Step 4) Toggle ON “Move already grouped items” and “Include operations”

Note of Change: It was toggle OFF, but now turn it ON! A TSM Update has
fucked this.

Step 5) Toggle OFF “Replaced duplicated operations” and “Skip Import /

Export Confirmation”
Step 6) Paste the Export into the Import Box, Click on the box and Ctrl + V
Step 7) Click that Import Button!

Now, do this for every group in the TSM Profile, once you’ve done this, do a
reload and YOU ARE DONE! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
TSM4 Guide Finished!

You are finished with the TSM4 Setup Guide!

Hopefully you will not get any errors and your items will post perfectly fine!
If you do have any questions, feel free to ask them in #General

Please, if you have errors or something is not working, check the other guide “TSM4 Issues and Resolves Guide”, when typing a message in #General, state what
you have tried, so I or someone else can help you the fastest we can.
