In integral swaging anchorage, strands are

individually swaged in a anchoring socket with
identical number of all-through pore canals of
that of strands in a cable.

 Cable Production
 Production of single unbonded strand
 Sheathed with HDPE for whole bundle of unbonded strands.

[Link] Mechanism and Prefabricaiton

Cable before being cut shall be subjected to pre-tension

for purpose of stress relief. Prepare the cables with
required length, remove the HDPE sheath at both end's
anchoring section. Clean strands at anchoring section
and preset the sealing socket and sealing ring and end cover.

After strands of a cable being swaged, to fix sealing socket, fill

anti-corrosive agent, fit in the sealing ring and end cover.

After anchoring section being swaged, carry out machining on

outer thread & finally temporary anti-corrosion surface treatment.
4. Characteristics.

Compact anchorage size, enable smaller size for bearing

accessories on structure.

Prominent static and fatigue performance

Distinguished anti-corrosive performance

Strand being simultaneously and uniformly griped, to avoid

individual strand's load deviation or stress concentration.

A special cone at end of strand is formed, anchor can stand high,

low stress condition, even minus stress condition.

Propitious to OVM monitoring system for automatic real-time

remote monitoring & warning for cables.

8. Main Technical Properties of
Cable assembly

 Fatigue performance of cable assembly: conform to PTI

"Recommendation of Stay Cable Design, Test and
Installation". Upper Stress 0.45σb,stress range 200MPa, 2x106
load circles, wire broken rate less than 2%.

 Cable assembly static performance: conform to GB/T14370-2000,

"Prestressing anchor, grip and coupler", Anchoring coefficient
ηA≥95%, break elongationξ≥2%.

 Cable assembly elastic modulus: E≥(1.9±0.1)× 105 MPa,

 Water proof: overall water proof solution.

 Remarkable compact dimensions comparing to other cable system,

lead to economic & executable solution on the affiliated structure.

9.1 Dimension comparison
(Typical types of both system)

For [Link] cable system: Main tensile element: strand F15.24mm UTS1860MPa;
For OVM. PWS(PES) cable system: Main tensile element: steel wire F5 mm, UTS1670~1770MPa.
9.1 Dimension comparison
(Typical types of both system)

Compact anchorage size, enable smaller size for bearing accessories on

structure. The structure is especially suitable to the following situation.
Bridge anchorage structure is restricted.
Compared to the new cable size identified by designed force, the original
embedded pipe size is too small in bridge cable replacement project.
9.2 Type of construction
9.2 Type of construction
9.2 Type of construction
9.2 Type of construction
9.2 Type of construction

●The anchor system should be

protected by applying lamina
specialized anti-corrosive grease on its
surface during installation.

●It’s highly recommended that [Link]

Polyurethane should be grouted into the
protective cap at both ends and the
guide pipe at beam end after
construction.

●All exposed steel member of cable

system should do the same preservative
treatment equivalent to the steel
members of bridge.
9.3 Attentive matters in Design & Construction

● The inner diameter of guide pipe should be 10mm to 12mm bigger

than the corresponding outer diameter of anchor head.
● The minimum length of guide pipe must be bigger than the length of
anchor head.
● Guide pipe should be stretched out the surface of deck at least
100mm in the vertical direction for the sake of installation of
waterproof cap.
The length of
pipe is too short
to install the
internal damper.
