Course Objectives: This course introduces the students to the fundamentals of banking and insurance. The
major objective of this course is to explain the evolution of banking principles and practices, laws
governing commercial banking business in Bangladesh, initial perspective of insurance business, activities
and legal and regulatory framework of insurance business in Bangladesh.
