These applications are developed using different programming language like CPP, Java, Oracle etc

The connected world characteristics of internet ready it applications

Computer networks are basic foundation of IT infrastructure. The majority of users access the enterprise
and departmental application using lans. All enterprise data of the business are stored on server
systems. Individual persons use laptops or computers where the data is stored. The servers are secured
with several hardware and software, a special software installation as well as antivirus solutions are
used to protect the servers. The below diagram in the main frame computers world.

We can see several layers of system software that run on servers, these include O.S, network
operating system, RDBMS software. Application server, middleware software and web servers.
Enterprise provide the advanced internet ready application as follows
1) Support large number of users of different interests and abilities
2) Provides display on multiple devices and formats
3) Deployed on large secure servers through license software
4) Supports single and special authentication and authorization
5) Ability to run on any operating system
6) Supports extensive connectivity to different types of network Internet services
7) It is supporting multiple programming languages or combination
8) Storage capability and back up enterprise.

BESPOKE IT Applications
IT applications are classified based one hardware platform, they run on mainframe open system and
internet servers. Another classification for IT application is the application users as customers facing
partners facing, suppliers and employee application.
There are 4 different approaches, they have their own merits and benefits

1)IT application to develop and intimate needs dedicated to team who understand

Business prices steps. Such enterprises will invest in hardware ,software testing tools and software life
cycle responsibility ,these are termed as BESPOKE applications enterprises nay design IT application
and implement application with its team.
2)Some enterprises may choose to procure license for globally standard software
ERP(Enterprise Resource planning) is globally critical business IT application, which is used in procuring,
Customizing. The important element of ERP is integrated nature of related application. The integrated
application are useful in IT for example Human capital management, purchase management, inventory
management etc. Different teams will work for different business areas. This result into lots of redundant
data stored in each application, therefore ERP prevents this bus designing Common Integrated
Datastore and application that are smoothly exchange data across

The Below are IT applications

* All IT application required to run an enterprise will never be created at the same time and will be
several generations of applications developed or purchased over several years.

* All IT applications need maintenance as business rules and business environment change and each IT
application will be at a different stage of maintenance at any given point of time. Enterprise migrate
from small IT application to more robust integrated suits as business grow.

* Enterprise choose from optimum hardware, software, OS, RDBMS, network and programming
language available at the time of making build or buy decision. This result in heterogeneous hardware
and multi-vendor software products in the same enterprise. Also, enterprise may acquire other business
to expand their growth in non-linear ways, and this may again result in multiple technologies to co-exist
in the same enterprise.

* The same way enterprises may have ERP, home-grown applications, partially outsourced to fully
outsourced IT application development etc.

* Enterprise may loosely bring together several application in an enterprise portal but may have
limitations in terms of data exchange across IT application.

* Enterprise may design new application to combine data from several critical data sources for the
management Information System (MIS).
