SPECIFICATIONS
Relay Voltage Stabilizers:
(0.5 KVA – 5 KVA) 230 V, 50 Hz, 1- 22A
Servo voltage Stabilizers:
(1 KVA - 150 KVA) (1 phase – 3 phase), 230 – 450V, 50-60 Hz, 4 - 215 A
UPS:
(1 to 5 KVA), 230 V, 50 Hz, 4 - 22A
Isolation Transformer upto 150 KvA
Inverters (1 KVA – 5 KVa)
A voltage stabilizer is designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level. A voltage stabilizer may be a
simple "feed-forward" design or may include negative feedback control loops. It may use an
electromechanical mechanism, or electronic components. Depending on the design, it may be used to regulate one
or more AC or DC voltages.
Electronic voltage stabilizers are found in devices such as computer power supplies where they stabilize the DC
voltages used by the processor and other elements. In automobile alternators and central power station generator
plants, voltage stabilizers control the output of the plant. In an electric power distribution system, voltage stabilizers
may be installed at a substation or along distribution lines so that all customers receive steady voltage independent
of how much power is drawn from the line.

An UPS - Uninterruptible power supply, also uninterruptible power
source, UPS or battery/ flywheel backup, is an electrical apparatus that provides
emergency power to a load when the input power source, typically mains power,
fails. A UPS differs from an auxiliary or emergency power system or standby
generator in that it will provide near-instantaneous protection from input power
interruptions, by supplying energy stored in batteries or a flywheel. The on-battery
runtime of most uninterruptible power sources is relatively short (only a few
minutes) but sufficient to start a standby power source or properly shut down the
protected equipment.
A UPS is typically used to protect computers, data centers, telecommunication
equipment or other electrical equipment where an unexpected power disruption
could cause injuries, fatalities, serious business disruption or data loss.
An Isolation Transformer, described in this document are associated with
Local Electricity Distributor supplies, the 120/415V ac signalling systems and supplies to equipment in
contact with the international 1500Vdc system. Specific applications of the isolation transformer are
provided along with brochures and as per customer requirements. The design is suitable for transformers
rated from 5kVA to 150KVA, inclusive. For signalling transformers with ratings below 5kVA, it shall
comply with the requirements of relevant international standard

1.2 Type Tests
Approved By: DIRECTOR:
Effective Date: 01.05.2020
ALTIME POWER SYSTEMS PVT. LTD.
Temperature rise type tests shall be carried out on one
transformer of each type and rating in accordance with
Section 23 of AS 60076.11.
The method of loading is to be either by the direct
loading method (described in AS 60076.1 Section
23.2.3) or by the back-to-back method (described in
Section 23.2.2). The simulated load method (described in
Section 23.2.1) is not acceptable by RailCorp.
The winding temperature rise is to be determined by the
change of resistance method. The resistance is to be
determined by d.c. volts/amps in which the current is to be
substantial (ie greater than 10% of the current rating of the
winding).
Type test certificates for each of these tests will be
accepted where it can be demonstrated that the
transformer supplied is of a similar design to a previously
type tested transformer.
