My passion is geography and geospatial sciences and I love showcasing my many talents
and skills I have in the geospatial science field. Throughout the semester, I have learned a variety
of geospatial and data acquisition techniques to be able to further my knowledge in data as well as

Smithsonian Institution May 2018 – August 2018


• Interned at the geospatial department at the Smithsonian Institution.
• Learned about Smithsonian Facility facilities management database and assisted in creating and updating data
elements to add into the system.
• Assisted in gathering utilities and space through site surveys.
• Worked with spatial facilities data and was able to understand the importance of accurate facilities and utilities
management data to daily operations.

Smithsonian Institution May 2017 - August 2017
• Interned under the geospatial department at the Smithsonian Institution.
• Manually checked utility data at the National Zoo and uploaded the attribute data on the Smithsonian's database.
• Also created new maps to update new utility plans and associated attributes.
• Used programs such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD to map utilities as well as examine existing floorplans.
• Helped manually survey the floor plans and update new floor plan data on AutoCAD.
