DELHI LINE 7 CROSS PASSAGES CC24
DELD12100-CC24-GT-171-C-B
Drainage pipe requires a special excavation. Dot line on sections AA and BB show this « extra »
excavation. As calculation note use the “theoretical excavation line” to develop a calculation model,
(more or less circular), design is not consistent with real works on site… A special design is required
for drainage pipe area.

Section AA. During service bottom of cross passage should be flat. There’s no fixed ladder coming
from sump structure. But during maintenance, when somebody will go down, for security reason, a
telescopic ladder will offer a support at 1.2m over cross passage level. This equipment will have
maybe more thickness than what is shown on the drawing and the diameter of 600mm for access
opening is maybe not sufficient.
It could be interesting to clarify the number of phases required to build 200 mm of spayed concrete.

It could be interesting to add a circular dot line to show excavation tolerance (theoretical radius +
100 mm).
Global comment: what is the purpose of enlarged section B?

As it has been discussed during meeting with Aecom on Friday 12 September, cross passage position
will be adapted to real position of segments for the two tunnels.

Stages 2,4 and 6. Is-it realistic to create shotcrete in drainage area, just to break it after and to do
enlargement? These phases should be clarified. However, efficiency of top shotcrete is doubt-full if
bottom is broken to create a trench…
