Essay
Based on my research, storm surges are frequent in coastal areas. Therefore, I
suggest making concrete houses with at least 2m height of floor to prevent the water
coming, and with most of the house covered with stones, bricks, and woods to hinder
the destruction of properties. I also suggest keeping the trees there because they are
one of the barriers in the area. However, when a strong earthquake reaches this area,
there can be a tsunami. With this, I suggest making a sea wall, of about 25m above sea
level. The sea wall can prevent water from entering the coastal area. This area also
needs a mode of transportation. Therefore, I suggest making short roads leading to the
nearest city without damaging any natural resources for evacuation purposes. I also
recommend building health care centers for emergency purposes.
