Lemon Battery Experiment Conclusion

This document summarizes a student's experiment using lemons to generate electricity. The student measured the electrical properties of individual lemons and found they did not produce enough voltage to light a bulb. Using four lemons together generated higher voltage and allowed the bulb to light. The experiment demonstrated that lemons act as a battery electrolyte while nails and wires serve as electrodes, with a chemical reaction producing enough electricity for small tasks.

CONCLUSION

When the electrical property of lemon was measured through the copper wire
and the galvanized nail attached to it using a gadget called electrical multimeter, we
obtained chuhu ohms. From there, we concluded that the our lemons have the capacity
to light the bulb. One lemon is not enough so we used four lemons to have higher volts.

The galvanized nail and the copper wires played the roles as the electrodes while
the lemon acted as the electrolyte of the battery. The lemon battery produces electricity
by converting chemical energy to electrical energy. We faced many failures as we
conducted the experiment. We tried many ways, we switched wires as possible just to
light the LED. Everytime that our experiment fail and try other things, we listed the
circumstances that may be the reason why we failed. For example, when the electrodes
touch each other inside the lemon, the LED might not be connected properly, the
electrical property of the lemons might not be enough to light the LED, and lastly, the
LED may be broken.

The experiment shows how fruits like lemon can generate electricity that is
enough to light a small bulb. This experiment also shows battery’s components and
illustrates how it works.
