CFO Vacancy

A long established company, listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange and operating in
the oil and gas industry (specifically in the development and maintenance of deep
drilling wells) is looking for a dynamic finance professional for the position of Chief
Financial Officer.

The preferred candidate will be an accounting/finance graduate and a qualified


Chartered Accountant, with minimum 15 years of experience (at least 5 years of
which in a similar industry in a senior finance capacity). A record of success in the
following areas is required:

 Financial accounting and reporting under IFRS


 Budgeting, cost control and management reporting
 Improve utilization & efficiency
 Improve systems & accountability
 Tackle unforeseen cost increase & losses
 Cut-cost from current cashflow
 Cash flow management, management of banking relationships and credit
facilities

The successful candidate is required to:

 Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of operating


successfully at board level
 Be commercially astute, with a record of adding strong value to the financial
well-being of his/her company
 Proactively contribute to the senior management team
