Qualitative Research Lesson Plan

The lesson plan covers qualitative research over two class periods. On the first day, students will review the definition and characteristics of qualitative research, learn the different types of qualitative research, and their strengths and weaknesses. As a performance task, students must find examples of qualitative research studies and identify the research type used. On the second day, students will present their examples and generalize their understanding of how the studies relate to the key aspects of qualitative research. The lesson aims to help students understand and identify different qualitative research methods.
