Mid-Term Questions Q. No Questions Marks CO BL PI

This document provides the questions and instructions for a mid-term exam in Engineering Physics. It includes 4 multiple choice questions worth 1 mark each on topics like pumping methods in lasers, Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, wave properties, and spontaneous vs stimulated emission. It also includes 2 multi-part questions worth 2 marks each applying concepts like the time-dependent and time-independent Schrodinger equations and relating phase and group velocity. The final questions are worth 3 and 6 marks each and involve calculations related to particle confinement and properties of quantum wells.
