` The Crash Course Engineering video that we watched watch was all about Civil
Engineering became a big part of our past up until today. Here, it was explained the facets of
Civil Engineering, including structural and construction engineering, city planning,
transportation, and sanitation. The host used an empty island to tackle how to plan an entire
city, what kind of structures would you build them, and would it matter what order you build
them in. Which I am quite happy knowing those things through this video. She also introduced
the civil Engineers who came before us, as well as how civilization starter thousand years ago.
I find this video really informative, especially I am taking a Civil Engineering course. In
just a span of almost 9 minutes, I have learned a lot of different things regarding this course in a
very entertaining way. I have seen how structures that Civil Engineers design and build defines
the culture of a society and help to keep pace with a constantly changing world. Bridges,
highways, drinking water- just a few necessities to the modern world, made possible by Civil
Engineers throughout history. Where we younger generations still benefits and live in more
comfortable way through their creations and discoveries. Aside from that, Civil Engineers try to
design their structures to be functional, safe, and durable. Most of the projects Civil Engineers
are involved with have an impact on the environment, which I appreciate the most.
As shown in the video, Civil Engineering is such a prestigious job. It holds a lot of
responsibilities, mainly to create, improve, and to protect our environment. As the empty island
used as an example, I have understood how creating a city from an empty patch of wilderness
shows you how many problems present themselves and how different kinds of engineers can
solve those problems. This video as just enough to give me a solid foundation to be determined
and inspired to reach my dream of becoming one of the best Civil Engineers in the country
someday.
