Everything Including the Kitchen Sink
As fascinating and informative as this all is, what does it have to do with us? Is there
any way we can see this !eld pattern in the design of our physical form and "ow? As
usual, it all depends on how you look at it.
THE EYES HAVE IT
Yes, that’s an often-misused cliché, but in this case I mean it literally. #e eyes, it turns
out, do have it. Have a look…
#e most obvious toroidal form in our body is our eye; the receiver of Light that carries information,
illuminating our vision in a feedback loop of perception and perspective — the windows into and onto
our worldview, de!ning one of the most essential “boundary conditions” in our relationship to life.
Look closely at the contours of the eyelids, the arc of the eyebrow, the curve of the bridge of the
nose. From simple appearances, it certainly does look like the dynamic formation of our eyes and
facial features surrounding them incorporate this fundamental double spiral design. Of course, we
can map the double spiral over both eyes to reveal the dual symmetry, but I’ve chosen not to in this
case so as to make it easier to see the pattern with a minimum of complexity.
Is there rigorous analysis or mathematical validation of the biophysics behind such a distinct
correla-tion? Not that I am aware of. For my part, observing these patterns so vividly
present in nature and seeing how they in ¢form energy-matter-information manifestation at a
basic and universal level is compelling enough to warrant such deeper analysis.

CHAPTER 29
ANGLES, PROPORTIONS, YOU AND ME
#e in"uence of Phi on the formation of the physical universe is undeniably evident and remarkably
prevalent. Even when looking for it simply through the lens of the Phi Vortex and Double Spiral pat-tern,
it’s readily observable from the great expanse of galaxies to the dual-torus currents of global atmo-sphere
and ocean dynamics that spin hurricanes and leave basket weave signatures in the sand… and on to the
revolutionary imprints of Sun-Earth spirals seen in the bark of trees, the pattern of plants, and the fractal
seed-bearing vehicles of cones and fruits. In some ways, the spiral attribute of Phi is the most obvious
one in nature. #ere are a great many more examples of it to be explored, and yet there are other
attributes that help us deepen our perception of just how ubiquitous this Golden Ratio is in the structure of
form and process of "ow that co-exist at all scales. Let’s delve a little deeper…
SCALING ANGLE
We’ve seen the attribute of the Phi Scaling Angle intimately associated with the double spiral
pattern, !nding that it is in fact the intrinsic angle that de!nes the chirality or spiral “handed-ness”
of ener-gy-matter interaction, somewhat like a di$erential angle in our original Phi blueprint. It is
not too di%cult to !nd examples of this angle in nature “on its own” though (in quotes because
that’s just a characteristic of what’s visibly apparent, whereas we might rightly assume that the
double spiral ener-getic is still operating in the formation process of these examples).
#is Spruce tree exhibits an overall form that closely
constrains to this angle over many years of growth. Notice
how the angle is present in its branches as well, displaying
a fractal symmetry of the scaling angle throughout.
We know from earlier examples of the spruce cone and needles
that the double spiral pattern is present throughout the tree’s
growth processes. It appears that the tree is demonstrating the
interplay between the left- and right-handed spirals in its overall
form with the Phi Scaling Angle making this interplay visible.
171
FIELD PATTERN
Shifting from wood to water again, this beautiful red star!sh and its seashell friends
share the same angle as the spruce tree.
#is spiral shell clearly seems to not be complying with our convention, though…
… until we realize its growth angle looks to be one-half of the scaling angle.
From seashells to she-shells, it appears this
modern mermaid reveals that the human form has
a distinct a%nity for Phi scaling proportions. Even
the dou-ble spiral curvature is evident (although
it’s prudent to acknowledge that this example is
possibly a bit cheeky for some).
Which brings us to the presence of Golden
Ratio proportions in the human form.

PHI PROPORTIONS
#e simplest attribute of Phi is that of proportion in a ratio of 1:1.618.
#is is, of course, the primary attribute upon which all others are based.
While spirals and scaling angles do not explicitly exhibit this simple
ratio relationship, it can be found in the structural system of our bodies
in very straightforward ways. A few examples are shown in the
proportions of the human skeleton in the illustration to the right. Note,
also, the two green scaling angles aligned with the ribs and femurs.
It is also well known that the scaling of the bones in our !ngers
is in close approximation to the Golden Ratio.
Why would our skeletal structure have Phi proportions? What functional role might it play in our
physiological order? When it comes to capability and diversity of movement, we humans
possess a unique and highly optimized structure that enables us to perform an incredible array
of activity that the rest of the planet’s species do not innately demonstrate a capacity for. From
ballet to bicycling, playing musical instruments to playing tennis, the movements of our hands,
arms, legs and torso ex-hibit a remarkable integrity of wholeness and harmony in coordinated
mastery. What is the common thread of movement within our diversity of activity? Spirals. #e
ability to curl our !ngers and grasp an object is directly a function of the Phi spiral. #e same
holds true for the curling of our arms and legs, and the twisting movement of our pelvis. All of
these rotations are aligned with Phi proportions within the physiological structure of our bodies.
While it’s obvious that there are proportional varia-tions of body structures in humans, and even
more so within the vast diversity of other species, there certainly appears to be a harmonic
relationship with the Phi ratio within our basic structural system. Curl your !ngers now and you’ll
witness this intrinsic spiraling harmony that o$ers such a vast range of potential right at hand!
At the deepest levels of biological structures within our bodies’ cells we also !nd evidence of Phi
proportions, as seen on the next page in the spiral pathways of microtubule channels that cycle
in Fibonacci values of 3, 5 and 8, and within the proportional structure of the DNA-B molecule.

And one of the most fascinating instances of the double spiral pattern is found right at the center of our
brain — the shape of the pineal gland. Its name is in recognition of the fact that it looks very sim-ilar to a
pinecone, as was illustrated by Renée Descartes who referred to the pineal gland as the Seat of the
Soul.63 #is rather humble little appendage in the middle of our heads has some remarkable properties that
may tie it into a kind of universal holographic vision, which we’ll explore in Section 7.
BACK TO THE BASICS
What is the origin of all this Golden Proportion throughout the cosmos? And what really
is its func-tion within the energetic dynamics of form and "ow? Considering these
questions requires us to go back to the very basics.
As we’ve explored, at the base resolution of the cosmos is the !eld of Planck Spherical Units
— the PSU-IVM — that are electromagnetic oscillations in a state of equilibrium arranged in
what may be called a 3-dimensional Flower of Life pattern. Since ancient times in many
cultures the Flower of Life pattern has been present in iconic symbolism found in various
temples, perhaps the most mysterious and oldest of which is imprinted on a rose granite
block at the Osireion Temple in Abydos, Egypt, where I took the picture below. It seems
evident that many cultures were clued into this fundamental understanding a long time ago!
174
Angles, Proportions, You and Me
As seen in Chapter 9, this pattern is a 2-dimensional isotropic vector matrix wherein the circles are
overlapping each other in hexagonal triangulation to be all-space-!lling. It is this zerophase equilibri-um
symmetry that Nassim Haramein utilizes as the fundamental cosmic geometry for uni!ed physics theories.
And it is at this primary level of energetic articulation that we !nd our !rst instance of the Phi ratio coming
into play, and it does so in complement to our other primary scaling ratio, the 2:1 octave.
As this illustration shows, the overlapping circle packing inherently contains the octave-doubling ratio of
.5:1 (left). When the isotropic array is organized with tangential circle packing as Buckminster Fuller ex-
plored (right), the same proportional relationship is now a Phi ratio. Quite remarkably, our two fundamen-
tal systems of quantization, the Binary and Phinary, !nd their origin within the same isotropic symmetry.
.5 : 1 .618 : 1
#is may perhaps be correlated to a di$erence between the space-!lling symmetry of the
overlapping PSU-IVM’s electromagnetic standing-wave interference pattern (the Planck-scale
zerophase equilibri-um state, which in Section 2 we showed has intrinsic octave scaling), and
the non-space-!lling atomic and molecular structures that are more associated with crystalline
geometries and physical form (the non-equilibrious physically manifest state).
It is quite noteworthy that the Phi Scaling Angle also appears in
this very basic level of energetic symmetry as the angle
correlated with the tangential circle arrangement.
Even in the most fundamental geometric relationship of a triangle in a
circle we !nd a phi ratio of .618:1. (#e same holds true for a tetrahedron
within a sphere, and in fact, the point of the phi segment that touches
the sphere’s surface is at the resonant latitude of 19.47°.)
As we can see, the Phi ratio is inherent in the very geometry of space from .618 1
which all things arise. And it is this simple statement that leads us
into the investigation of my original question about what the role and
function of Phi is in cosmic energetics. While the answer resonates
in me as being true, it’s not what I was initially expecting!
