Observing Art: Understanding the Form, Media and Style


Integrative Art comes in different sizes and shapes, forms and styles. This art can be observed in
Junk Art. Junk Art is a sculptural rendition using discarded or used materials usually scrap plastic,
cartons, paper, metal or glass. Observe and analyze this artwork and answer the questions:

ACTIVITY 2: What I Can Do


Anyone can be an artist. You just have to put your resourceful and creative potential into good
use. Create something from anything. A. Preparation:
1. Take a walk around your house and yard. Look for some unused or discarded materials
like metal, wood, plastic, paper, even dried leaves, branches, pebbles and small rocks.
2. Gather them together and do some cleaning of these materials as you deem it
appropriate then look for a good work place.
3. Think of a sculptural artwork that can be made from these materials. Use your limitless
imagination.
4. Using commercial paste or homemade paste (made from cooked cornstarch), glue,
tapes, leftover paint or watercolor, create an art work at the time frame specified by your
teacher.
B. After creating your artwork, copy and answer this on a separate sheet of paper:

C. Take a picture of your artwork and send it to your teacher and selected five classmates
for them to observe and analyze, your teacher may opt to have the picture posted in your social
media wall accompanied by your answers in Letter B and be visible only to selected friends and

Audience Parents and Senior High School students of Davao City National High School.
Situation The sense of nationalism and patriotism among Filipino youth is rarely seen.
However, there are platforms that are used in uplifting these virtues and one of
these is contemporary arts.
Product Made a Pointillism Artwork that showcases artists Nationalism.
Performance

Standards The learner will follow the procedure in making Pointillism artwork based on the

- CREATE A 1 MINUTE INFO VIDEO ABOUT A PARTICULAR NATIONAL ARTISTS.
- The video must be educational about the significant contributions of your chosen
national artists. Mention about his/her specific artworks that made her/him popular in
his/her field.
- Add Visuals like pictures and Text on your video.
- Use Tiktok Application or any editing app.
- Wear Proper attire while presenting your facts. Make sure that you place is well lighted
as you do the recording.
