 Role of Educational Psychology in learning issues

Educational Psychology helps teachers to know that how learning takes place. It enables a teacher that how the
learning process should be initiated, how to motivate, how to memorize or learn. It helps teachers to guide the
students in the right direction in order to canalize student's abilities in the right direction.

Educational Psychologists work with children to find out HOW they learn and process information and look for
ways to improve their performance. And it's not just intelligence that affect learning outcomes… Emotional
issues, attitudes, motivation, self-regulation, behavior, and self-esteem all contribute to learning.

One (A teacher) can experiment with different teaching/ assessment methodologies and can trace out its
effectiveness. If a methodology proved failure, he could apply a different one.

A teacher can understand that ‘rewards’ and ‘appreciations can make a learner to achieve better results.

Hence Education psychology helps individuals and learners to perceive, analyze and understand concepts in a
better way and enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the education sector.

Education psychology makes individuals holistic, comprehensive and enhance better decisions making while
dealing with varied kinds of learners.
