Anode Calculation Template

This document provides calculations for a cathodic protection sacrificial system for a jetty and river water intake piles. It calculates a 25 year lifetime with current densities of 20 mA/sq.m for river mud and 54 mA/sq.m for river water. It determines the required weight of magnesium anodes needed to protect different pile sections of the jetty based on their surface areas, current demands, consumption rates and utilization factors over the calculated 25 year period. The total weight of anodes proposed for protection is 100,620 kg.
