variety of professional customers worldwide. Most of what we do is driven by state-of-the-art
software.

As a Wolters Kluwer Full Stack Developer, you will create our digital solutions by working with the
latest technologies. You are a member of a geographically distributed development team working on
various digital platforms and tools.

Team & Project


You will work in a multidisciplinary, international team, working with people from NL, BE, IT and GE.
Wolters Kluwer started a global program with the goal for a WK global CMS solution.

The primary focus of the team is to develop the Content Management System (CMS).

This WK global CMS system consists of several services Semantic Search and Browse, Content Import,
Content Delivery, Integration with external parties, XML/HTML editing tools.

You can be part of this innovative, challenging, and interesting project.


You are responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the UI layer for this CMS.

Responsibilities:
• Development and maintenance of web applications based on React/Angular and web
components (StencilJS)
• Development of the backend services (Java, Spring)
• Development and fine-tuning of SPARQL Queries
• Developing according to best practices and architecture defined the Architect Community
• Take a proactive role during backlog-refinement (grooming) sessions on solutions for the
requested requirements.
• Solving incidents.
• Analyze and improve the performance.
• Create documentation where appropriate.
• Planning and reporting on progress in accordance with Agile/SCRUM
• Work together with the front-end/back-end developers within the SCRUM teams

Qualifications:
• Bachelor or master’s degree (preferably in computer science)
• Mature experience in working in agile teams using modern technologies in frond-end dev,
back-end dev, databases & DevOps.
• Be able to adopt new technologies and concepts quickly and should always be interested in
new upcoming tools and languages.

• Angular, HTML5, CSS3
• React and Web components in StencilJS
• Java 8+
• Spring
• ES6, TypeScript
• Consuming REST/GraphQL API’s
• REST webservices
• XML - based content
• SPARQL
• Docker
• Amazon AWS Stack (ECS, Lambda, …)
Nice-to-have experience in:
• Allegrograph
• Alfreso
• Kubernetes
• Test Frameworks/Tools
• Other Agile methods: Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, SAFe
• Atlassian Stack (BitBucket, Confluence, JIRA, Bamboo)
Competencies:
• Strong collaboration and listening skills
• Fast Learner and moreover, he/she enjoys learning new techs.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a distributed, international, multicultural environment
• Responsive and flexible in handling critical support issues whenever they occur
• Strong analytical skills.
