Important Notice
Due to the nature of wireless communications, transmission and reception of data can never
be guaranteed. Data may be delayed, corrupted (i.e., have errors) or be totally lost. Although
significant delays or losses of data are rare when wireless devices such as the Forwell Wireless
device are used in a normal manner with a well‐constructed network, the Forwell Wireless
device should not be used in situations where failure to transmit or receive data could result in
damage of any kind to the user or any other party, including but not limited to personal injury,
death, or loss of property. Forwell Wireless accepts no responsibility for damages of any kind
resulting from delays or errors in data transmitted or received using the Forwell Wireless device,
or for failure of the Forwell Wireless device to transmit or receive such data.
Safety and Hazards
Do not operate the Forwell Wireless device in areas where blasting is in progress, where
explosive atmospheres may be present, near medical equipment, near life support equipment, or
any equipment which may be susceptible to any form of radio interference. In such areas, the
Forwell Wireless device MUST BE POWERED OFF. The Forwell Wireless device can transmit signals
that could interfere with this equipment. Do not operate the Forwell Wireless device in any
aircraft, whether the aircraft is on the ground or in flight. In aircraft, the Forwell Wireless device
MUST BE POWERED OFF. When operating, the Forwell Wireless device can transmit signals that
could interfere with various onboard systems.
Note: Some airlines may permit the use of cellular phones while the
aircraft is on the ground and the door is open. Forwell Wireless device
may be used at this time.
The driver or operator of any vehicle should not operate the Forwell Wireless device while in
control of a vehicle. Doing so will detract from the driver or operator’s control and operation of
that vehicle. In some states and provinces, operating such communications devices while in
control of a vehicle is an offence.
Limitations of Liability
This manual is provided “as is”. Forwell Wireless makes no warranties of any kind, either
expressed or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, or noninfringement. The recipient of the manual shall endorse all risks arising from its

Introduction
This user guide describes the R8 series router. The aim of the manual is to ease the test,
install and disposition.
Note: Though all features are documented in this manual, new features
may still be in beta stage at publication and therefore may not yet be
validated. Please refer to the Customer Release Note for complete and
detailed information regarding beta and validated features at time of
release.

Connection
The router default parameters as follow, the manual function describe will base the default
parameters.
IP: [Link], sub mask: [Link].
There are two way to setting the PC IP address, which connect to the router.
1. Manual setting
Setting the PC IP as [Link] (xxx = 1~253), subnet mask: [Link], default
gateway: [Link], primary DNS: [Link].
2. DHCP
Setting the PC IP properties, support “Obtain an IP address automatically” and “Obtain DNS
server address automatically”.
After IP setting, check it by ping. Click Windows start menu, run, execute “cmd” command.
Input “ping [Link]” in the DOS window.
This information means the connection is work.

This information means the connection is failure. If so, please check the network cable
connection and IP address setting.
Login the router
Run the IE, open the URL: “[Link] the default user name and password both
are “admin”

The router operation mode and NAT select. There are three operation modes supported:
bridge mode, gateway mode, AP client mode.
Internet settings
Wide Area Network (WAN) Settings
WAN connection type support: Static IP, DHCP, PPPoE, L2TP, PPTP, 3G.
System supports the follow 3G module: HUAWEI EM560, HUAWEI EM660, and HUAWEI EM770.
3G SIM PIN: enter PIN code
Operation mode: always online, connect on demand, connect on timer, manual.
MAC clone: enable and disable the MAC clone function.
Mobile MSP parameters: edit the MSP parameters.
