About ShareChat:

ShareChat is a social network for the next billion smartphone users. We have grown organically
to 18 million active users and are doubling every 4 months. Our userbase is majorly from India,
Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE and Canada. Our users create 30 million
posts per month which get 45 billion impressions in total.

1. Backend Engineer

1. Backend Engineer:

Our backend tech stack is [Link]/Python + DynamoDB/Cassandra + Redis + Elasticsearch

● Compensation - INR 18-25 LPA depending on candidate + addition ESOPs


● Responsibilities include
● Writing and deploying REST APIs
● Scaling the EC2 cluster ensuring sub 500ms latency
● Scaling the database ensuring single digit millisecond latency
● Write and deploy jobs on docker containers

2. Web Developer

Our tech stack is [Link]/Python + DynamoDB/Cassandra + Redis + Elasticsearch +[Link]

● Compensation - INR 15-18 LPA depending on the candidate + additional ESOPs


● Responsibilities/Expectations include
● Building and maintaining PWA
● Work closely with the product team to accelerate A/B testing and maximize
engagement.
● Good understanding and experience of working on [Link]/[Link]

3. Android Engineer
Our tech stack is [Link]/Python + DynamoDB/Cassandra + Redis + Elasticsearch + [Link]

● Compensation - INR 18-25 LPA depending on the candidate + additional ESOPs


● Responsibilities/Expectations include
● Writing efficient android code in Java/Kotlin following MVP framework guidelines
● Tracing and profiling android Java code
● Familiarity with popular android libraries/methods like OkHTTP, Greendao,
Fresco, eventbus and job schedulers
● Familiarity with latest android platform changes.

4. Machine Learning

● Compensation - INR 18-25 LPA depending on the candidate + additional ESOPs


● Responsibilities include
● Building a scalable infrastructure to support upto 5,000 feed requests per second
with latency less than 200ms.
● Building a recommendation engine to maximize engagement on user feed based
on user and content meta-data.
● Personalizing the feed using user's contact network and in-app follow graph
● Suggesting similar users to drive meaningful follows on the platform
