The Lost Books Club

Que alguien encuentre un “libro olvidado” en cualquier lugar público, no es un hecho usual.
Menos usual, es que el libro tenga un mensaje en su primera página invitándote a tomarlo, leerlo, y
después dejarlo en otro lugar público, para que alguien más lo encuentre y lo lea.

Así funciona el “Club de los libros perdidos”, una iniciativa soñadora que hace algunos años
empezó a recorrer el mundo. Aunque la red sea tan popular hoy en día, tener un libro entre las manos
es una experiencia maravillosa. Es una fuente de enseñanza y aprendizaje.

En algunos países la gente no lee mucho quizás porque los libros son caros. Sin embargo,
gracias al “Club de los libros perdidos”, es posible que alguien pueda leer un libro más en la vida.

Backpacker Tourism

Todos queremos viajar, pero hay turistas que prefieren no tener un viaje planeado hasta el
último detalle. Ellos cargan una mochila a cuestas y se llaman mochileros. De allí, se originó el
término turismo mochilero.

Viajan económicamente y no necesitan guías de turismo. Son muy sociables y buscan conocer
a las personas y la cultura del lugar que visitan. Tienen una mente amplia, están listos a tener
nuevas experiencias y realizar hazañas. Generalmente, viven en hostales o albergues. Se desplazan
en transporte público y compran la comida en supermercados en vez de ir a restaurantes.

Si quieres irte de mochilero, recuerda llevar una mochila ligera y tener tu cámara a mano.
También, escanea tus documentos personales y no guardes todo el dinero en el mismo bolsillo.

Choosing a Career

Un desafío para los adolescentes que finalizan sus estudios secundarios es decidir qué
quieren hacer con su vida: ¿Quieren seguir una carrera? ¿Qué carrera y dónde van a estudiar? ¿Cuánto
vale estudiar esa profesión y cuántos años dura? Igualmente, hay otros estudiantes que no están
seguros si quieren trabajar o quieren aprender un oficio o una vocación.

Es aconsejable que el joven se informe antes de tomar una decisión. Esta nueva etapa de su
vida no es sencilla. Los jóvenes deben encontrar una relación entre lo que quieren estudiar y sus
cualidades personales para evitar experiencias negativas.

Debe existir un equilibrio entre la carrera escogida y la seguridad de encontrar trabajo al final
de los estudios. Así los jóvenes no se sentirán engañados, deprimidos ni aburridos. Todos anhelan
conseguir un trabajo al final.

Is There a Perfect Family?

Todas las familias tienen dificultades de vez en cuando, y no existe lo que llamaríamos “la
familia perfecta”. Cada familia está formada por diferentes personas con personalidades, conductas
e ideas diferentes, lo que hace difícil llevarse bien con todas.

Por lo general, te sientes muy bien con tu familia. Sin embargo, en algún momento quizás
te hayas enojado con tus hermanos o con tus padres; quizás te sentiste solo y pensaste que nadie
te quería. Pero estos sentimientos de rabia, ira y tristeza son normales y se presentan en todos los
ambientes hogareños.

El divorcio, los abusos, la drogadicción y el alcoholismo afectan negativamente a la familia.

Hoy, hay que añadir el abuso de la tecnología en el hogar porque está destruyendo la comunicación
familiar. ¡Ojo con la tecnología!
