Stakeholders
➢ Refers to a person who has an interest or concern in
the organization at hand. So, in terms of education, a
stakeholder is someone who has a vested interest in
the success and welfare of a school or education
system.
➢ This includes all parties that are directly affected by
success or failure of an educational system, as well as
those indirectly affected.
➢ Stakeholders may also be collective
entities, such as organizations,
initiatives, committees, media outlets,
and cultural institutions.
➢ Stakeholders engagement is
considered vital to the success and
improvement of a school.
Stakeholders In Education
• Family
Parents influence the
implementation of the curriculum
by playing a vital role in monitoring the lessons
taught at school, filling the gap between their
children and the school administration by
providing various resources which are not
available in school.
• Family
Teachers often take help
of parents for monitoring
and social and behavioral
development of a child, especially for
special educational needs.
• Family
Parents can help monitor
and evaluate the implementation of
the curriculum by keeping abreast with
the performance of their children,
particularly by monitoring their
homework activities.
• Community
Community as a whole is a
stakeholder in its education system.
This is because local schools educate future
employees, business owners, and community
leaders. A solid education program builds a
stronger community by better preparing its
student to be successful community
members.

The involvement of the
broader community of the school with it can
improve communication and public understanding
and allows for the incorporation of the
perspectives, experiences and expertise of
participating community members to improve
reform proposals, strategies, or
processes.

community too has a responsibility to assure

Them Understand The Phases Of Child
Development, Its Complexities And Ways To
Cope With It. Help Schools Understand
Backgrounds And Cultures Of Families And
Their Goals For Children.
2. Communicating:
Create Reliable Communication
Channels Between School And Home To
Communicate With Families About School
Programs And Student Progress.
3. Volunteering:
Enable Educators To Work With
Volunteers Who Support Students And The
School. Involve Families As Volunteers And
As Audiences At The School.
4. Learning At Home:
Encourage The Involvement Of Families
In Their Children’s Academic Learning At
Home Through Curriculum-Related Activities
Such As Including Homework And Goal
Setting.
5. Decision Making:
Make Families Participants In School
Decisions, Governance And Advocacy
Activities.
6. Collaborating With The Community:
Coordinate Resources And Services For
Families, Students And The School With
Community Groups Such As Businesses,
Cultural And Civic Organizations, Colleges
Or Universities.
