COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Basic knowledge of drawing tools, techniques and literature, how a work of drawing and
graphics can be represented over sheets, basic rules and techniques for making an
engineering drawing, lettering, angle of projections, dimensioning, scaling, part making in
2D and isometric 3D views. History and modern need for drawing and graphics. Project for
applying the knowledge learned from the class. Final assessment, viva of the project.

The course is designed so that students will achieve the PLO/s:

1. PLO 10. Graphical Communication: Demonstrate knowledge of orthographic, drawing


views as well as use of tools for graphical communication and idea as well as presenting a
scaled draft of machine parts etc.

methodical way including literature survey, design and conduct of experiments, analysis and
