General Kodi Settings
● Player > Language > Preferred audio language = English
● Player > Language > Preferred subtitle language = English
● Media > General > Show parent items = Off (removes back button when browsing menus)

● System > Add-ons > Updates = Notify, but don’t install updates

Install Seren

Configure Seren
● Open Seren > Tools > Settings

● Scraping > Preemptive Termination > Minimum Resolutions = 1080P
● Sort & Filter > Choose Items to Filter = DV, 3D
● Sort & Filter > Max/Min resolutions = 4K/1080P
● Enable File Size Limit = Disabled or set to bandwidth available
● Playback > General > Movie Play Style = Source Select
● Playback > General > Episode Play Style = Source Select
● Playback > Resolving > Auto try next link on resolve failure = disabled
● Playback > Smart Play > Enable Smart Play = On
● Playback > Smart Play > Default Action if nothing selected = Pause
A4kSubtitles
● Settings > File Manager > Add source: [Link]
● Add-ons > Install from zip file a4kSubtitles > install “[Link]”
● Add-ons > Install from Repository > a4kSubtitles Repository > install “Subtitles”
Set default subtitles:
● Settings > Player > Subtitles > Default TV Show Service = a4k Subtitles

Open Wizard (optional)

● Use “Total Clean” function to clear cache + packages if dependency failure
Backup (optional)

● Need to set the remote path to somewhere on device. Create “Backup” folder.

● Or just copy the addons and userdata folders from \.kodi

installing AH2 skin (Look and feel). Don’t Apply Skin Yet.
Configure TMDbHelper:
● General > Language and Country = English
● General > Get additional details and artwork from TMDB = On
● Widgets > Next page item = Enabled
● Ratings from IMDb, RottenTomatoes, and Metacritic require a personal OMDb API key:

e.g., Widgets > Choose widget > Add-ons > Video add-ons > Seren > Discover Movies >
Trending. “Next Up” for TV shows, etc...
o Style = Poster / Content type = Videos for movies and shows.
o Widget > Expand information = Full
o (Optional) Create submenu widgets below widget lists on each page for “Discover
Movies” & “Discover TV Shows” - Content type = Text.
o (Optional) Create submenus for Movie and TV menu items:
e.g., Add-on > Video add-ons > Seren > all “Discover Movies” lists and all “Discover TV”
lists. Much do each list independently.
● Skin Settings > Menus > Customise power menu:
o Add options pointing to Seren Tools, OpenWizard, etc…
● Skin Settings > Menus > Customise search menu > Add a custom item for each action to search
directly in Seren:

o Delete the rest of the search actions
● Skin Settings > Menus > Expanded widget style = Fullscreen
