Graduate Application Procedures for Term 3, AY2022-2023

1. Application/Testing

1.1. The APPLICATION PERIOD for Term 3, AY2022-2023 is from 23 January


(Monday) to 25 February 2023 (Saturday).

1.2. All applicants who will be scheduled for the DLSU Graduate Admission Test
(DGAT) will take the proctored exam in an assigned testing venue at De La
Salle University.

Due to system limitations, online testing will not be an option.

The TEST VENUE/SCHEDULE will be emailed to registered applicants days


before the scheduled test.

Issuance of test permits is system – generated and is on a first-come first-served


basis; reservations are not allowed. Examinees will be assigned to the nearest,
available test date. A P200.00 rescheduling fee will be charged if one reschedules.

Published testing dates may change without prior notice depending on the volume
of applicants to be processed. Any updates on schedules will be posted in this same

Applicants to the following programs are EXEMPTED from taking the DGAT:
• MFA in Creative Writing
• PhD programs EXCEPT applicants to ladderized/straight PhD programs
and those applying to the DBA, PhD in Business, PhD in Computer
Studies, and Doctor in Information Technology programs

NMAT by GMAC. ONLY applicants to the following graduate programs are


required to submit a scanned copy of their NMAT by GMAC score: DBA, MBA,

Applicants to the DBA, MBA, and Diploma in Management programs will still
be scheduled to take the Essay Components of the DGAT over and above the
required submission of the NMAT by GMAC.

TOEFL/IELTS. Submission of TOEFL or IELTS scores will be required


for international applicants to the following:

• graduate programs being offered by the Ramon V. del Rosario College


of Business and the Gokongwei College of Engineering graduate
school.

• Doctor in Information Technology, MS in Information Technology,


Master in Information Technology, and Master in Information Security
(MInfoSec) programs of the College of Computer Studies. For
MInfoSec applicants only: as an alternative to the TOEFL or IELTS
score, we will accept a certification that the medium of instruction in
the university where you obtained your bachelor’s is ENGLISH. (NOTE:
This alternative to TOEFL or IELTS is exclusive for graduate programs
in Computer Studies only.)

International applicants who are DLSU – Manila alumni are exempted from
presenting a TOEFL/IELTS score.

2. How to Apply

2.1 PREPARE all application documents for scanning and uploading. For a

2.2 PAY the NON-REFUNDABLE application fee:

College of Law
- DLSU Graduate - P1,000.00
- DLSU Affiliate Schools - P1,200.00 - P2,500.00*
- Non-DLSU Graduate - P1,500.00

*NOTES:

- Exempted from paying the application fee are: (1) applicants to the
Certificate in Teaching Religion (CETREL) program and (2) members of the
DLSU Brothers Community.

 Since applicants have yet to create their own MyLaSalle (MLS)


accounts and thus have no access to the MLS system, payment
options are over-the-counter and internet banking to accredited banks.

when asked to specify a Student Number and/or Reference Number.)

Uploaded documents will be forwarded to the members of the screening


committee for departmental review a week after the application deadline.

3. Department Review/Interview

Academic departments are given two weeks to evaluate credentials and contact
applicants for interview appointments, which their Office Assistants will do by phone
and/or email.

Please take note that not all applicants will be asked to appear for an interview.
4. Notification of Admission Status

4.1 APPLICATION RESULTS will be released in mid-April 2023.

4.2 Applicants will be asked to MONITOR their admission status via email. The
email address the applicant indicated either on his/her Online Application
Form or Google Form will be used to: (1) send the link where one can
download his/her status letter in pdf format at least three working days
before the scheduled release date and (2) other notifications involved in
application and enrollment.

Results of application for scholarship and financial assistance will be


simultaneously posted on the letter of acceptance that will be emailed to
successful applicants.
