Blends Go Fish

1. Players are dealt six cards each with word pairs that have matching beginning consonant blends. 2. Players take turns asking each other for cards with specific beginning blends. 3. If the card is held, it is handed over. If not, the player asks "Go fish" and the asking player draws from the pile. 4. The goal is to form the most word pairs by the end. The player with the most pairs wins.

Blends Go Fish

Directions
1. Players mix up the cards and place them face down in a pile.
2. Players draw six cards each and place any pairs with the
same beginning consonant cluster face up.
3. Player 1 asks another player for a card with a specific
beginning consonant blend. For example, if Player 1
held the branch card, he or she would ask another player:
Do you have a card with the beginning “br” blend?
4. If the other player has the card, he or she hands it over,
and the pair is placed on the table. Player 1 reads the pair
aloud and plays again.
5. If the player does not have the card, he or she says Go fish
and Player 1 draws a card from the pile.
6. Players take turns. The player with the most matches wins.
