II. Project Title: Digital Empowerment: Bridging the Gap through Technology
and Entrepreneurship
Project Duration: 3 months
III. Project Overview: The "Digital Empowerment" project aims to equip
students with essential digital literacy and entrepreneurship skills, ensuring
they are prepared for the ever-evolving digital landscape and can harness
technology to create sustainable livelihoods. The project will focus on
providing practical knowledge, hands-on experience, and mentorship to
empower students in both technical and business aspects.
IV. Project Objectives:
1. To enhance students' digital literacy by teaching fundamental computer skills,
software usage, internet navigation, and online communication.
2. To cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among students, promoting creativity,
problem-solving, and innovative thinking.
3. To equip students with the knowledge and skills required to start and manage
small online businesses effectively.
4. To foster teamwork and collaboration through group projects that integrate
technology and entrepreneurship.
V. Project Outputs:
1. Teachers, organize workshops that cover the basics of digital literacy, including
using computers, navigating the internet, utilizing productivity software,
understanding cybersecurity, and practicing online etiquette.
2. Provide participants with certificates upon completing digital literacy and
entrepreneurship programs. Recognize outstanding achievements and projects to
encourage motivation and a sense of accomplishment.
3. Create online forums or communities where participants can ask questions, seek
advice, and share their experiences. This fosters continuous learning and peer-to-
peer support.
VI. Implementation Strategy/Activities:
1. Digital Literacy Workshops (Week 1-2):
Basic computer skills: Operating systems, file management, keyboard
shortcuts, etc.
Software usage: Word processing, spreadsheet manipulation, presentations.
Internet navigation: Effective use of search engines, understanding URLs,
online safety.
Online communication: Email etiquette, social media basics.
2. Entrepreneurship Training (Week 3-4):
Introduction to entrepreneurship: Understanding business concepts,
identifying opportunities.
Ideation and innovation: Encouraging creative thinking for business ideas.
Business planning: Developing a business model, market research,
competition analysis.
Financial literacy: Basics of budgeting, pricing, and managing finances.
3. Practical Application (Week 5-10):
Small group projects: Students form teams and conceptualize a digital
business idea.
Business creation: Teams create an online platform, website, or social media
presence for their business.
V. Beneficiaries:
1. All students under Technology Livelihood & Education subject.
2. All teachers in the school to boost their proficiency.
VI. Mentorship and Guest Speakers (Throughout the Project):
Inviting successful entrepreneurs and technology experts to share insights
and experiences.
Providing ongoing guidance and support to students as they navigate
challenges.
VII. Assessment and Presentation (Week 11-12):
Teams present their business outcomes, including successes, challenges
faced, and lessons learned.
Individual assessments: Students reflect on their personal growth, acquired
skills, and project contributions.
VIII. Expected Outcomes:
1. Improved digital literacy skills among students.
2. Enhanced entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving abilities.
